Perfomance issues with webm embedded

Hai

I'm having problems browsing threads with webm embedded, my page freezes and doesn't respond for a good while and after it's the page is done loading, the whole machine lags like a bitch.

I'm using the latest Chrome build with a couple of light extensions.

The most baffling thing is that it happens on my gaming rig with i7 and mid level gfx while my working rig w/ old pentium CPU doesn't have any issue. This issue only happens on codex, I can browse other forums with webm embedded just fine.

What do?

It could be a RAM issue. Loading a whole bunch of autoplay vids isn't exactly a light load.

Option #2:

chrome://flags/

Disable hardware-accelerated video decode. Windows, Chrome OS
Disables hardware-accelerated video decode where available. #disable-accelerated-video-decode
Enable

Try Enabling / Disabling that. Let me know if it's enabled to start with.

And let me know if you get this:

Disable support for WebRTC hardware video encoding. Chrome OS, Android
This option disables support in WebRTC for encoding video streams using platform hardware. #disable-webrtc-hw-encoding
Sorry, this experiment is not available on your platform.

Also go here: chrome://settings/

Show Advanced Settings, and under System, let me know if there's a tick in "Use hardware acceleration when available".

It was disabled, I enabled it and nothing has changed
