Nice! Haven't played this since it launched. Is there still much of a community?

There seems to be.

I never played it but always wanted to. I was more into tribes back in the day but I had friends who swore by this game.

I'm gonna try to figure this game out I think. It wasn't a huge download (about 1gb) and it seems to run without lag or anything. I had to choose run as adminstrator in windows 8.1 for it to load and play though.

There is a button you can click that will drop you into a battle somewhere in the world also. I haven't figured out how the world map works but that helps getting around.

edit..

Ok, two things I've figured out so far.

You probably want to join a squad so you can get group experience (combat certifications)

and don't get too much grief points by shooting up the friendlies.

Grenades in close quarter are indiscriminate and if you grief your own faction too much you get penalties.
