PLATINUM does Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

If nothing else, at least these cheap licensed jobs for Activision seems to be keeping Platinum afloat.
Meaning that they might stay in business long enough to produce another worthwhile game. Maybe.

Probably but sadly looks like Platinum had no choice but to push it out right before new TMNT movie.

This currently has a "mixed" rating on Steam, it's locked at 30FPS, no local co-op and 3 annoying AI turtles fight with you at all times. Also dated memes.

How many times have the poor turtles been (poorly) rebooted so far? They just don't let them die in peace, the poor bastards.

I wonder how many of these issues could be avoided if Actision would just not release this game right before another movie.

Scalebound? I guess Microsoft is ok with giving them more time or just Kamiya is more convincing during negotiations.

They make good beat-em-ups but it'll probably be grossly overpriced like that Transformers game.
Fast-forward to present day. It's not as overpriced as the Transformers game $40 vs. $60 but it seems to be just as short and there are a lot of complaints on the Steam forums about how bosses are designed (Rocksteady is easier than Shredder and it's open world so you can just skip to Shredder from the start?). Anyway, 75% off or bust.

Platinum's Turtles game delisted from Steam, PSN and Xbox
Rest in pizza.

Activision has removed Platinum's Turtles game from Steam, PlayStation Network and the Xbox Games Store.

Turtles is unavailable to buy from the Xbox Games Store, among other digital platforms.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, developed by action game specialist Platinum and published by Activision, went on sale under a year ago, in May 2016.

And so the delisting comes as some surprise for a game that's been available to download for just under eight months.

It appears Activision's on something of a licensed game purge. People have noticed The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel have been removed from digital stores, too.

While these games have been snuffed out of existence online, you can always pick up a physical copy. Turtles is going for around ÂŁ20 on Amazon, for example.

This is like the second time a TMNT game gets delisted digitally, only this time this game had a physical version.

The good news is that Platinum stayed afloat long enough to develop Nier Automata, which looks like it will actually be good.

B-B-BUT MUH PLATINUM GAMES
THEY ARE THE BEST DEV EVER

Does it though? I have seen a whole bunch of videos from the demo, including one where the guy beats it on the hardest setting with bare hands, and the combat system looks incredibly shallow. People are just masturbating over their new waifu.

The IDW comic has become shit, especially after 100 issues.

- too many OC and the new story look like a fanfiction.
- 5th female turtle.
- female villains always get away without being punished.
- the turtles is just pacifist.

Wtf, what an EPIC intro. Outstanding direction, choreography and animation. I need to play this game heard it's an overlooked gem.

It's pretty cool, but trivial at the same time. Regular enemies can be juggled indefinitely, it doesn't even require any execution. And they don't utilize any dangerous attacks that can break your block or damage you significantly. Bosses are pretty lacklaster, the only thing that you have to be aware of is your combo counter, because if you hit them more than 4 times they will do a counter attack that makes them invincible. And then you have screen wide intakill attacks (multality) and power up mode that makes you invulnerable (brutality).

But in the end it is still fun, because of the brutal setting and overall variety. How many beat'em'ups allow you to play as a monk armed with hat that slices demons in half or a cryo ninja that rips enemy spines off, or a flaming skeleton from hell that breathes fire?

But if you want a game with "cleaner" gameplay that tries to present you a challenge, the said TMNT 2003 is a better choice.
