Anybody played this game? I can't seem to find a good copy out there...The one I have always seems to CTD at a certain level and I don't know how to fix it...

Played and finished. I still have the original CD.
I'm a big original PoP fan and the '89 game is one of best games I've ever played.
With that said, I liked the 3D one. At the time for me it had some impressive locations and short but sweet cinematics. Other thing I liked very much was the addition of multiple weapons/combat styles.
Since it was those time of early 3D games (and take into consideration I was behind games for 4-5 years), the camera was horrible and some puzzles were more difficult because of it. Other than that I think the difficulty was right (I was very young so I don't know whether that is actually easy now for me xD)

Strap Yourselves In Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Got as far as the point where it crashes. Interesting how swordfight was still 2D, in a sense.

I remember playing it but not completing. It was an inferior Tomb Raider clone, and as I recall, a buggy mess on release. It might be playable today, but do not expect anything too great.

I liked it a lot back in a day. Never finished it, since it started crashing like crazy at some point.

It looked very well, technically and stylistically and I always had fun killing myself in various ways. I remember liking the combat. It's quite possible it sucked back then and it sucks now, and I'm just looking at it through nostalgia goggles.

I remember liking it too, but I was only about 11 or 12 when I played it, if not younger. The controls were very sluggish and unresponsive, though, but that could've been down to the PC I was playing on at the time.

All the shit you guys have just said is largely true. But you see, my first 3D action plaformer was Indy and the Infernal Machine and I love that game to death. Both these games also happen to control very similarly. I was enjoying the game very much until that crash at the library level. I just wished there was a good copy out there on the net so I can fucking play this game.

I like that this game still retained the mechanical feel of the 2D games, namely the momentum, which was sorely missing in the SoT trilogy...

It's a tomb raider clone, just like asghan, indy and infernal machine, and the setting is fantastic, I love the balloon level. If you're familiar with gameplay of tomb raider, you'll have no problems with this. 3D is very old, and characters are very blurry, but the background textures are great. The fact that it's a tomb raider clone is natural, since the first tomb raider resembles the original prince of persia gameplay in 3d.

I wanted to replay the game but I never managed to make it work on my last computer. I never tried to make it work on my new rig, though... maybe someday.

It was a BAD, ugly and clunky game, most obvious example of this horrible late 90' trend of enforcing every single franchise to go 3D at any cost because back then 2D was considered faux pass.
