Why haven't you heard of Reassembly?

A spaceship building and universe-exploration game. Collect resources, expand and grow your fleet, and conquer your personal galaxy. Stellar ambience by Peaks.

Essentially it's a 4X game in the form of a top-down space shooter. It's kind of like SPAZ with the creativity potential of Kerbal Space Program (or Robocraft), and with a sprinkling of SPORE. Start small, kill other small ships, harvest resources, run away from bigger ships, and unlock upgrades. Redesign your ship on the fly. Your ship's abilities are calculated based on the design you conceive. There are multiple factions, each with unique parts and characteristics. Player-made ships called Agents can "invade" your game, and your ships can invade other players. There is also a tournament mode to pit player ships against one another.


Reassembly recently graduated from Early Access and is currently getting stability updates.
