Tried this a bit recently, but combat was so bad I just couldn't continue. All wildlife has basically the exact same attack pattern at different speeds, human enemies are sad, and rolling without stamina (or even with it) is the devil.
Oh how far you have fallen Piranha Bytes.

Playing it right now (with all DLCs, for that treasure which give +10% Glory and decent suit set).
Combat have one terrible part - distance does not matter. You and enemies can jump into each others all the time, like in the friggin House of Flying Daggers or some other chinese movies.
Shit is so fkn confusing playing above Easy is recipe for fury and might cause damage in your surrounding.

As always Chapter 1 is longest part and quests pop out like a bubbles, sometimes they even get solved before reaching quest giver.

Dialogues are p.bland, voice of our main character is so bad and forced to be tough it's unbelievable. Overall voiceacting is bad. Terrible british voices...

Will finish because exploration is still fun, only part that Pirania didn't fucked up.

Nothing to see here, move along citizen.
Go back to your wasteland in FO4.

I play Risen 2 now and I still like it for explorations, while 3rd was better. It has some nice hand-crafted vibe to it. Not some random quest-compas levelscaled shit like bethesda's or Witcher3 or DA3. What are the alternatives anyway for 3D RPG FPS/TPS exploration? New Vegas maybe, or some Souls-Dogma games... We have more good turnbased games nowadays then this.

Risen 3 in a nutshell.
TITan Lords. Funny how bad a game can be but if it has sexual appeal I'll try hard to play it. I was thinking about this the other day. Leisure Suit Larry Cum Laude is a terrible game but... Tits. I wanted to see what it had.

And then I thought about motivation. Food. Sex. Excitement. Water. Different things motivate us.

Most of the games I get I don't get for tits. For example, when I got Everquest, I wanted an MMO RPG adventure. I don't think I even noticed the bags of flesh on Firiona Vie. Years later I noticed and marvelled at how much I liked to look at them. But honestly I don't think it adds anyting to the game. When I got luclin I got it for access to Luclin and to keep up with things. I did not get it for the big breasted models. In fact, I thought the originals were better. And when I got Ultima Online it had nothing on the cover, just a symbol. Again, sex had nothing to do with it. I'm horny a lot, but I'm a gamer too.

If I was a woman I think I'd feel like my image was being abused. But that's how commercialism is. It abuses everything. We all should be adult enough to respect each other regardless of what dumbs**** in suits do. However, if I'm a guy and I'm getting a game BECAUSE it's soft porn, that's my choice. I also know the image or the nature of men is also being abused for different purposes. Teh bottom line is, it's art, it's a game, nobody real is being harmed. If htey censor every oversized tit or nipple in games or movies or art, think about how many other things they'll censor?? I don't want to be a robot, do you?

Also like to say I WANT to see RPGs with realistic people. For example, years ago there were some human models for Everquest. They looked "off". The male was effeminate. The female's face was less than the ideal and her body proportions were androgynous. Gamers universally rejected them as sad looking or emoo. My complaint was mainly they lacked the character of the original models. But that's true of the luclin models too. The old models were across the board and even comical. The newer stuff focused much more on youth and heroic iconism. I hate it. It's empty. I'm not 13 anymore. I'm 13.4 at least.

EDIT: I won't lie. I didn't get Risen (the first one) for sex, but I DID like the nipple on a screenshot.

After 25h of doing (almost?) all quests in Risen3 I twisted a bottle and it stopped at Calador, this mean going with Demon Hunters faction.
Talked with Eldric, said something about Grimoire (hehehe) and started....Chapter III?
Did I missed something? Did the chapter II started with Bones diggin' out my character?
I know it sounds stupid but I totally forgot this.

PS. Thieves Isle is p. small. Fog Island is another shadow cleansing. Adventurer's Set is a must and will be used for most of the game.
DLCs would be better if they were 2x cheaper.

Look at all these white trash people. Now you know where new Patty look come from.

Got new ship.
Now I found that fkn parrot (Polly) know where best armor in the game is. Thing is - I need to jump from island to island and trigger new dialogues with her.
And every ship travel end with battle against either other ship or sea monster.
You know what? Sea monsters minigame is actually cool, I don't get people. Even when Glory points are useless for me now, thanks to the plants and alchemy that boosted all stats to 100.
Glory points are useless but I'm still running out of cash. Must go and walk with Jaffar more while listening to music.
See - in almost all cRPGs economy is broken, one way or another. But here - it's good. Props here for PB.

Thats actually true. Risen3 is one of the very few games where gold is handled in a good way. You never have enough of it, you never have too little.

As for the white trash, well i really dont get their recruiting agenda. There was a video snippet where one of their designers told his story how he came into the company. He, a goddamn teacher, was a big fan of the company and he wanted to see how they work. He drove all the way up to their headquarter and proceeded to suck their cocks furiously, as fanboys naturally do, then they hired him. On the spot. A teacher, someone who didnt have any experience in the gaming industry or any other boons they could benefit from.

What the hell man. Why do they do that?

That remind me about animator in Bethesda, who's good friend of Todd from college. His skills can be seen on NPCs. And these dead dolls plastic faces, yuck. No surprise it's most popular game on the Codex, after Oblivion and Skyrim. Shit pull in other shit.

Technological industries are some of the very few industries where competence is required to some extent. Wait until you see how other industries are staffed.

There is indeed no Gothic 4 since the game that was called that before had to be renamed because PB got their copyrights back and ordered the namechange by court.
