Grand Theft… Horse
In Rustler, you’re not a hero. This time, you weren’t born to be a mighty knight and you won’t become the king after killing a dragon.

You’re just a medieval thug, a simple criminal who’s trying to get rich and not killed in the meantime. Easy to say, harder to do - especially when you’re on the rock-bottom of feudal social ladder. But who said you need to obey the law? Throw a knight off his horse, lose the chase and roam around the castle town like a boss.

Every choice has its consequences… but not here!
Enjoy your freedom in an open-world, medieval-inspired setting. You won’t find here either historical, or political correctness. Prepare yourself for wild, over-the-top action and parody of RPG cliches. Take a job from one of various fractions: spoiled priests, exploitative merchants, corrupted city guards or boorish villagers. Or... just give up the plot like you always do and make some mess in the city using melee and ranged weapons.

Different times, same sh… style
Experience old school, skill-based combat in fast-paced gameplay. Fight on foot or hop on one of the mounts (like horses or wagons). Slash your enemies with a sword, impale them upon your spear... or just use a simple pitchfork if you don’t have any fancy weapons. Take them down from distance with a bow or crossbow.

Friends? I don’t know those peasants…
Play the online multiplayer mode, classic way: grab a few friends, choose the map, game mode (deathmatch, CTF, jousting tournament or race) and play! No XPs, loot boxes, and skins - just pure rampage!

I (want to) believe December 31, 2019 is just a placeholder.

GTA 1 and 2 was fun because of the cars and guns, and blowing up cars, this cannot have this.

It's a pretty interesting moment for Kickstarter- Jutsu sometime ago merged with Games Operators- one of companies in Playway group. This Monday GO officially announced that they'll be entering stock market with 20% of existing shares- 51% is currently owned by CEO while the rest by Playway (Playway never sales so all money goes to CEO). Value of new shares that will also be emitted is estimated at around 7 million PLN.

I don't believe they really need that money from Kickstarter- they noted over 6 millions PLN of income in the first 3 quarters of 2019. Kickstarter goal is 18000$, which is around 60000 PLN.
They set a low goal to get it quickly "funded" and get a nice statistic just before going on stock market (Our game reached 123% of our funding goal on Kickstarter").

Edit: Here's article about stock market announcement (in Polish):

On a closer look, it looks like it uses both DoF and vingette blur for maximum eye raping effect

Well, at least now i know what it's like to play a game while suffering from progressive macular degeneration.

The controls in the first GTA games were garbage, especially the aiming. Hopefully this does not copy those games too closely.

Mouse control without the ability to freely kite people by shooting backward while running away would be mega helpful.

Seeing more and more of these 'have a free prologue, not just a demo' marketing tactic these days.

RUSTLER: PROLOGUE is a story introduction to full version of RUSTLER. Don't treat it like a demo - it's a standalone short game which will show you intentions and way of life of our protagonist.

As a poor peasant, you really need to get creative in order to become someone.

Rustler’s world is filled with humor, anachronisms, and pop culture references. Remember Monty Python? Ever been towed for parking in a “NO HORSE ZONE”?
  • Absurd story
  • Challenging combat
  • Historical inaccuracy
  • Pop-culture references
  • Fast Horses
  • Shit Throwing

Steam does a really shit job at advertising demos so I'm not surprised devs are listing pseudo-demos as standalone titles

The original trailer looked quite comfy, shame they decided to cater to GTA5 kids and memelords.
