Gah, a random angry zombie Blobert appears.
It's time to dance. Nemesis uses his rocket launcher only on longer distances, so it's good to keep him close enough to dodge his attacks and shoot until he is unconscious.
You again! This time you brought some new friends. I love how they move slowly towards when I'm not moving. But only a couple of steps towards them and bam! Creepy and really well done.
Biohazard 4 coming soon to your cinema! Also - great music in the background.
Carlos from Umbrella is licking his wounds in a newspaper room. The very romantic moments end quickly.
Nemesis should have a one liner "I'll be back". It seems that the more he is failing, the more aggressive he becomes. Evasion of his attacks is crucial if we don't want to see game over screen really quick.

One of the Umbrella mercenaries survivors. Time to find fuel / cable / oil and get the hell out of here.
Looks like zombies have sixth sense and they detected us.
Carlos saves the day, but almost dies in the process.
Time to grab anything useful and leave the gas station before it blows up.

Damn creepy things. They just make those suggestive moves when they catch you. This is what inspires hentai artists.
The fat guy from the beginning is already a meal. Interesting thing about the whole city, is that enemies show up and spawn in most of the locations even if we kill them. The infestation is growing rapidly while we progress through the "quest".
Now now, no need to get worked up!

Another ugly obstruction from the depths of the sewers. Begone, slimy beast.
They're gonna need a bucket and a mop when I'm done with you!
I'm too old for this shit. I finally left the city behind me. Now for the clock tower.

At least clear Sunder, the first planet visited from Sender Station. The new area after that should be a good point to judge the rest from, and the cutscene between is one of the better ones in the game.

Is the Resident Evil 0 remaster worse? I was looking at that next.

Well, Zero is not a remake. The amazing thing about REmake is that it was a true remake that kept the important things of the original Resident Evil intact while improving almost everything and providing a new experience even for people who played the original.
Resident Evil Zero shares the graphical fidelity with REmake and introduced a couple new features such as the partner system (you can switch between Billy and Rebecca on the fly) and the removing of item boxes (you drop items on the ground and they stay there). It's also a good game, the last good Resident Evil actually, and well worth playing.
The remasters of both 0 and REmake are good imo.

Well yeah, one of the more controversial additions.
But thankfully not the only one! The switched around puzzles, new areas, new graphics etc. I also understand that some people like the original more, I think even I enjoyed my first playthrough of the original more than that of REmake, but it still felt like a work done out of love for the source material. It was a great experience exploring that mansion for a second time and be constantly surprised by all the small changes and little details. One of the few games I'd unironically call art.

Of all these "retro" FPS that have been released over the past few years, Amid Evil is the only one I really like. People have been comparing it to Heretic but I'm not sure that's entirely accurate. The weapons are really cool in this game. Definitely recommended.
