Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I remember playing it in potato in the 90s when I could still barely read in the first place, one of the first adventure games I ever played.

The first challenge was to set config.sys and autoexec.bat to be able to play it.
This was a rare case, and the IPS Computer Group as a publishers were really pioneers considering the 90's computer scene. It was really nice to finally know what people are talking about. I also remember Syndicate, System Shock, Subwar 2050 with polish subtitles and way much later Dungeon Keeper which had a great and funny script with quality voice acting.
As for the difficulty, it's the most fair part of the trilogy. No horrible labyrinths, gathering dozens of items and we can't die easily as before. The third part could be really good, since it had some nice choices and consequences, but then I remember the Isle of cats and the new ugly graphics.

n fact, the finale and that scene with the goy caught by the carnivorous plant are the only things I remember.

Looks like someone wants a Zionist Agent tag.

Playing as a charismatic wizard is indeed more fun than playing as a 3 CHA/INT stealth archer. Should have chosen the one from the start.

But not fun enough to go through all these sewers and lava trolls again. I think i exhausted most of the fun i could.

I'd be curious how you'd go through the later part of the game with a charisma character.
I could barely do it with a melee guy because of those archers you can't get close to.

Although, you can talk your way out of the boss fight. Well, theoretically. If I remember correctly it requires such a high speech skill that I can't see someone making it up to that point by spending so many skill points on speech.

Well, cha is also a primary magical stat here.
I can only tell that ignoring the weapon skills and putting the skill points into your chosen thought school element(the one that can be boosted by the sylvan racial) is more fun early game than the archery, but it didn't feel particularly stronger to me.

I've replayed Legend of Kyrandia II: Hand of Fate to test the Sound Canvas. One of my first adventure games, and it still holds well. There are some nice easter eggs and references that I didn't noticed earlier. It was cool finding out that you can for example read all the letters that you need to find for the dragon postman. The only letdown was Volcania where someone dropped the ball, and you could even walk through lava at one screen without being burnt. Finding the one particular spell at the rainbow machine was also a cheap move, but after some time I knew what I'm missing. Other than that, it was a great nostalgia trip, Frank Klepacki is one of the best composers ever and the pixel art is gorgeous. I also probably found out all the death screens as well.
Really great pixel art, really hard find a pixel are game of this level of detail,my big problem was with that puzzle with the notes on the tree, I'm almost tone deaf and I HATE music puzzles on adventure games, didn't resist and got a walkthrough and then that was a route where you don't come back... ended up cheating through the whole game, wish I had more patience with it.
:negative:
Also, Zanthia is a really nice waifu.

It's essentially Simon Says, no music knowledge needed. Thankfully as music puzzles are also a bane for me.

Really great pixel art,

It is quite amazing.
Then after playing through the series I went and played Simon The Sorcerer which was another game I never finished before. And man... wow, that one blew me away. The amount of detail is insane. Hand of Fate has more interesting locations overall, but Simon 1 is technically superior.

Another one of those rpgees with interesting, but very clunky combat that gets even more clunky the moment you start fighting too many enemies.
I am having fun.

Brigand with the club is tough. But even he can't survive all the repeated stabbings in the face.

^This place doesn't actually sells the maps. Which is kinda funny, considering that you don't have an auto-map here. Only maps as an items, compass and NPC's directions.

The minor shield spell is a king so far, shame it doesn't last that long.

I am definitely maxing speed, closely followed by the combat stat. Also don't want to ignore magic.
I hope i am not screwing myself over be deciding to turn the strength into the dump stat.

A horse of course

Most of the people who played Soulbringer probably got it in a double-Jewel Case with Planescape.

Some more puzzles with scores, all optimized for cycles:

This is one of my favorites. Everything fits perfectly.

10016836432728948736_lzd9n.jpg

It's hard to see, but at least one person managed to do it in 50 or 49. I think 48 would be impossible.
This one has a nice symmetry.

These flower shaped molecules are a recurring theme, getting larger and more complex every time.

They always look nice. But it's disappointing the game doesn't challenge you with one that's too big for one arm to hold and rotate around the center, at least not in the main story campaign.

The final puzzle requires some tricky bonding, and the position of the elements couldn't be any more inconvenient if you care about optimization.
VS71IIT.gif

It's kind of a mess, but it scores well because the 4 salt inputs are being used non-stop.

It's not my favorite Zachtronics game. But there are still some bonus puzzles left with limited space constraints that look interesting.

And that's all for now I think, since the 5th difficulty level isn't implemented yet:

Verdict:

:5/5:

Mos def the single best game of recent years.
