    you will pay for that
I suggest adding a pun next time as well

Now that you mention it, since quality poster hoopy has me on ignore I can't possibly hurt him ( or her, if he so prefers) again by continuing with that particular avenue of exploration.

I shall consider your advice, Rodeo Minute

    OKAY BROS

Coming up next is hella sum reading but trust me this is gonna be interesting

as such I believe I may need the collaborative analysis of brothers RK47, Vaarna_Aarne and Clockwork Knight on this piece

note that this article is extremely relevant to the phenomenon of increased character romances in certain western game genres

As always different bits = different quotes

IF YOU LIKE LOLI GIRLS IT TECHNICALLY MAKES YOU FEMINIST ADAM JENSEN HELL YES deuxhero you feelin dis

they say video games are hedonistic bacchanalia and did the decline of manliness (cont)
    :avatard:

they say the souless porns makes pple feel entitled to and misunderstand sex, but the mighty hentai games contradict this!

    Read on for the TRUTH
    :avatard:

    1) Hentai games are gateway storyfag game developing
    2) if you buy pillows with Tali on it you can play mass effect romance when you're not playing mass effect

    they say
    1) If you like cute little girls you have lost your manhood, but by playing hentai games you regain it :obviously:
    2) Dating sims are wish fulfilment

    HOWEVER!

YES! GLORIOUS NIPPON HENTAI GAMES ARE ACTUALLY MORE EMOTIONALLY ENGAGING AND INCLUSIVE!

    MY BROTHERS
WHEN YOU PLAYING THE HENTAI GAMES YOU ARE IMMERSING INTO THE SUPERIOR EMOTIONALITY OF WOMENS ROLES
    :bravo:

Men don't want specific waifus! They want to experience the Elemental Waifu Plane, the pure waifu essence!

I believe wat we are talking about here is waifu goddess worship, because of the sheer idealised forms the gamer here cannot identify with her as an equal :obviously:

    1) Non-moving close up of waifu faces and characters = focus on humanity and identifying with their inner thoughts
    2) THEREFORE 3D CUTSCENE ROMANCE OF BIOWARE IS NEWSHIT DECLINE OF COMPUTER GAME ROMANCE
    :avatard:

fucking tamagotchi was the first emotionally engaging character, even though it's an electronic game people behave as if it were alive and real, that is what emotionally engaging means

actually bros back in my day there was a real fucking fad among the school kids for this shit, thankfully it didn't happen with me

people sprayed women's perfume on their DS, had a marriage ceremony with and slept with it because they were playing a dating sim there?

    But that's not all!
    :hero:

HOLY SHIT BROS CAN CONNECT THEIR WAIFUS TOGETHER AND THEY CAN GO ON UNSCRIPTED DOUBLE DATES

God damn bioware is the smallest fucking potatos ever, japan is emperor of vidya romance for life, how is mass effect the best sci fi series when you can't even connect your tali and your bro's liara and they can talk about their shepards while you talk about being a spectre with your bro :obviously:

yesss, waifus are both human and machine at the same time, with the software of machine but emotional engagement of humans!

Once again bioware is a pissant in this arena. What is 'romance' in gaijin's mass effect and dragon age, you press sex please dialog choice and you watch cutscene?

Fuck that shit, in glorious nippon software you do manual romance gameplay anytime, anywhere with no fucking quest compass or auto-resolve! ONCE AGAIN JAPAN IS GENERATIONS AHEAD IN GAME DESIGN
    :bravo:

In conclusion : by playing TRULY emotionally immersive games, male gamers are leveling up their knowledge about technology, the world and maybe themselves as well.
Which explains why andyman is such a renaissance man

    MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY

Actually the term cyborg here refers to the merging of man and technology via the acceptance of virtual waifus and also immersing into the role of and being engaged by kawaii female characters(lolis) and therefore departing from the standard roles of manliness, etc etc

therefore you are sorta like adam jensen and transcending humanity and becoming one with the machine at the same time, isn't that great

This guy has clearly never bothered to read anything on here. It's quite funny actually

Much, much more than that. I pledged after the Codex drive ended for example so what I did pledge doesn't count towards the 10K. Pretty sure there were a lot of people who pledged before the drive too, and from what I recall seeing in that thread their contributions didn't count towards the 10K either. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual amount was closer to 20K.

I remember now, kids in my class had tamagotchis and joined the devices so the little creatures would romance. I wanted one at first for the novelty of it, but then the kids started to tell horror stories about the thing whining at 4 in the morning asking to be let out to poop, and if you didn't wake up it would be dead in the morning.

I hadn't been following Banner Saga's updates until reading about that SA bitching. Thanks to them I was able to pull my support 21 hours before I was locked in. :salute:

Probably will use that $10 on something more noble than a console game, like music DLC for Crusader Kings 2.

Nah. I would if I cared.

It's funny how they single out the most hateful posts and immediately identify them with "the Codex" as a whole, though.

I noticed that too. There were several pages of well articulated, non flame baity discussion but instead they just hand pick some random hate and say "gahahaha those poopoo rearends gently caress codex drat!".
