Freed Apex, let Feuerschwinge go back into her peacefull slumber.
Wasn't that good, Fluxstate got #rekt by big ol' D's troops in aftermath since it didn't have Apexschwinge to defend it.

uh oh, the same thing happened to me too
I suppose we shoulda killed them dragons. What happens if you let APEX improve the virus and give him the control of the dragon?

F-State repeals the Attack and stays free, at least in the original version of Dragonfall. But i doubt they changed that for the DC

Oh, and just a quick thing:
If anybody still has doubts about who the guy talking in the subway at the end of the game really is, the Shadowrun 2050 Sourcebook basically confirms all related D. related rumors in this regard.

Anybody noticed any effect of selling the Bloodline data? I destroyed it because it freaked me out

So I'm doing the run "loose ends", and the fight with the two basilisks. I finish up all the guards and the basilisks. I was 1 turn short of getting the optional side objective of blocking the reinforcements. No problem Killed them too. But I figured I could go back for the paydata later and don't seem to be able to. Is this the case all the time? It's been awhile since I played DMS.

my ending was:
I let the fucking dragon and its astral form burn to hell in the bunker. I freed the APEX but didn't let it take control of the dragon. Fuck them all.

What did you guys do?

Not DC game. Killed Apex. Let the dragon free because dragons seem to be some guardians against the horrors from another dimension

So I finally decided to give this a shot, since everyone and their mother has been saying it's so much better than the first one. So far I've played through the first real mission (at the hotel) and a little ways into one of the next ones. After that I decided that there seem to be enough alternate options for how to do things and little easter eggs for having various skills that I did not, in fact, want to be a character with points in nothing but guns and dodging. Especially since all the starting cyberware is expensive and useless as fuck, and I'm not sure how well equipment is going to scale in the endgame compared to spells. So I rolled a new character, a troll mage. Already noticed a few interesting things I hadn't before and I've basically just finished the tutorial.

Few questions:

So far from what I've seen, a LOT of the options to do something require 3 in a stat or skill. Is this a good number to shoot for on other stats to keep options open even lategame, or should I focus on one or two stats to get them to ~6 for stuff later on?

What do leylines do exactly?

How much karma am I looking at over the course of the whole game? 50, 100, 200? Is getting something like 16 in body actually viable at all?

You will get more karma if you spread out your skills. Those 3 points here or there will basically pay for themselves eventually. I ended the game with around 200 karma accumulated but you could end up with more depending on your choices and investment in abilities. I played a gunman but put points in all sorts of things.

Stuff I invested in just for additional options: INT 3, STR 3, BIOTECH 3, WILL 3, CHA 6. I think several of these things actually netted me more karma points than I spent on them.

CHA 3 and INT 3 will solve a lot of the alternate paths in early- to mid-game and having Biotech 2 is helpful in seeing enemy HPs but also helps out in few dialogue bits. Most STR checks can be done via other means plus Director's Cut added the option of using your team "Muscle" in them instead, which unfortunately isn't possible for most other checks. Decking 2 or 3 helps out with a number of keypads and safes and other stuff.

In the factory/hotel, for example:
Getting Silke her stuff nets you 1 Karma but if you also talk her into quitting Cram by joining Samuel's homeless shelter you get additional 2 Karma. Plus you can convince her to give you additional 100 Nyuen. You need 3 CHA for the money, and either 3 CHA or 3 INT plus Biotech 1 to convince her that drugs are bad, mkay. If you also have Decking 2, you can open the safe on first floor that nets you a smartlinked pistol, which is a very good starter weapon if you're into pistols but can also be sold for decent money.

In contrast, if you end up killing Frank the Floor Manager for the elevator key, you lose on Silke's subquest entirely. Only thing I didn't like about that quest is that there's no way to kill Frank and his piece of shit gang AFTER you've cleared out rest of the place.

I don't think you can go much over 200 Karma by end game, so I wouldn't go overboard in spreading the points around, plus if you play on Hard/Very Hard the combat is going to get quite challenging if you don't keep up your primary combat stats. Also, even if you don't use magic at all, having some points in Willpower helps mitigate some of spell damage and they will get pretty damn lethal by end game. Same with Quickness and guns.

I'm now running two combat characters simultaneously as I want to see which one becomes more powerful through the game:
-an orc weapon specialist who will later on put points in rifle so to be lethal at all ranges (SMGs have the highest damage output during most of the game thanks to the default attack actually being 2 attacks (cheers burst fire!) meaning that points will focus on Quickness, Ranged Combat, Submachine Guns and Rifles (no need for throwing as grenade launchers are available)
versus
-a troll street samurai who uses swords, throwing knives and grenades so focus on Strength, Melee Combat and Throwing.

Just finished the game. I liked it a lot but I've hit a snag. I usually play RPGs multiple times, planning new character builds as I get to know the mechanics. This time though I can't think of a new character that would change the combat a great deal. The way the karma system works it's difficult to go make a character that truly stands out.

I played a melee/fist chi- and spell-casting dwarf (karma spread too thinly, I know) that was insanely effective in the end game. I did a spellcaster/charmer in DMS. Thought about a gunwielding cyberware character, but that would be very similar to Eiger. Plus cyberware mostly changes underlying numbers and stats, as opposed to the mechanics of a fight. The decker in the party could handle anything, so I don't feel like there is a need to make another one. Any ideas for a unique build?

Check above what I'm doing. It doesn't fundamentally change the combat, of course, but in both cases I'm basically replacing one of the crew members with my character.

Guys, I think I ran into a game breaking bug. :|

Playing the Directors Cut of Dragonfall, came "home" from the mission to kill the dwarf decker in the pharma/hospital run. Went into routine with usual bioware dialogues with my fellow runners.
Talked to Glory about her past, ended the dialogue. Now I can't click anywhere to make my character move. Only thing I can run to is when I click on the Computer to check for new unread messages or check the money raising account.

Anyone got a similar problem?

HUGE deelbreaker in an otherwise excellent game...

Not being a broken piece of shit is an unannounced funding tier goal for HK

Save your game. Completely close/exit the game. Re-start it?

Tried saving/reloading, didn't work, but thankfully completely restarting the game solved the problem.
Thank god, because I really really enjoy the game thus far!

It's a rarity when I am eagerly awaiting "quiet time" reading new entries in computers in the hub or listening to dialogues but also dreading for more combat (playing on hard) because it's fun!

Only thing in combat is that the enemies don't use overwatch and they throw grenades very very often, even spacing out my party. Also also - Eiger is a goddamn killing machine!

Yeah Eiger is a killing machine. So is glory (don't use her stupid gun). Be sure to use her special adrenal pump to give her 1 extra AP, and use her stunning special abilities, as well as her other ones. She is basically a walking cuisinart, slicing and dicing shit up.

I basically never took Glory with me cuz I thought melee sucked. Then I finally got to use her in that mission where you use everyone..uh-oh.
I must confess - because everybody said taking drugs was bad, I was really scared what would happen if I used cram or any of the stimulants so I never used them, lol. lol. The game is really immersive.

I liked the nade usage, it took me completely by surprise that the enemies can do it so much. I guess I'd been spoiled by shit games over the years.
I also really liked the downtimes here. I always watched all my DVDs, read all entries but I think I never talked to any of the team members:(

Ed123 I don't understand this, I don't remember any bugs at all from my playthrough. Maybe there are some I didn't get but you can't call it a broken piece of shit
