Blue. Lots and lots of blue. And aircraft that want to shoot me down, turrets that launch missiles at me and carriers that are sitting there like fat ducks while I pepper them with rockets. Infinite islands and a difficulty that's defenitely on the harder scale. Oh, and permadeath. I'm absolutely loving Sky Rogue. Give it a try, it's free. If you want.

To make things a bit easier on you, you can land on your own blue carrier during a mission to swap weapons and heal.


Keyboard + Mouse controls:

Mouse down/up - pull up/down
Mouse left/right - roll left/right
Left button - Fire!
Right button - Hold down and move mouse to rotate the camera
Middle button - track or untrack your current target
W / S - throttle up/down
Spacebar - Next target / Select in menus
Q (hold) - Activate weapon selector
Mouse while Q is held - Select weapon
Q (release) - Select currently highlighted weapon
Tab - Flyby Camera
Esc - Pause


Gamepad controls:

Left stick down/up - pull up/down
Left stick left/right - roll left/right
Right Bumper - Fire!
Right stick - Rotate the camera
Right stick Click - track or untrack your current target
RT / LT - throttle up/down
A - Next target / Select in menus
Left Bumper (hold) - Activate weapon selector

Looks like Starfox meets Ace Combat. I've always been a fan of the un-textured 3D look. More indie devs should do this.

Doesn't look like arcade at all,unless arcade means non-simulation. Arcade dogfighting games was mostly on-rails shooters, like the After burner games or Shoot-em ups like Armed Police Batriders,1941,etc.. The aesthetics(or lack of) reminds me of Starfox, but that was on-rails too. The game mechanics and music reminds me of console dogfighting game series Ace combat, tough AC have better graphics of course.
