Some games only offer inversion of 1 axis. Is there a way around this?

Like the title says, does anyone know a decent way to try and force the other axis to invert also? Maybe something with a tool like Xpadder? Although that may feel laggy when the other stick is natively inverted.

It's just a really annoying problem and I have no idea why developers do it.
