Why is this not on Steam yet? Does the dev hate money?
even better! these days if you're not selling an unplayable pre-alpha ridden with showstopping bugs sold as "early access - going to be released soon(TM)" you're nobody. Why is this not on Steam yet? Does the dev hate money?

I like just zooming out from Earth. Start with a low speed, then increase it, watch Earth disappear in the distance. Planets soon zoom by, then stars; entire clusters of stars, in the end galaxies become small mottled dots on my screen. It gives me some perspective, makes me think.
On one hand I feel entirely insignificant considering the vastness of it all, on the other hand the very same apparatus of thought that enables me to think I'm worth nothing is worth everything to me; creating my entire world and all that's in it for me and I'm sorry I told myself I would stop at one glass of wine today.
It's mainly because XenForo absolutely insists on parsing every link it gets and adding "url" tags around it, meaning any attempt at implementation using the basic "Add Custom BBCode" results in a botched link that doesn't work in the HTML5 video tag. I also can't add it as a "Media Site" because that requires a url of the site, and a webm can be anywhere.
There is a way around it but it's weird and strange and basically means doing something like this:
Code:[webm=http://www.linkto.webm]Pointless Text[/webm]
I love how so many ppl won't touch SE because they say 'it's not really a game'. They're missing so much.
UI. Sound. Graphics. You fly around the universe and scope nice areas for screens, study orbits and chart galactic pathways for astronomy, and you can plot courses for drop-in ships.
Plus it's pretty and it's free. That combo alone puts it well above the typical indie trash highlighting the weekly Gog, Humble, Steam sales.

You left out some of the largest aspects of the game, i.e. you also build stuff, collect resources, make your own programming scripts to control various aspects of gameplay, destroy things, fight robots and shitty wolves/aliens. I think the game shines most in a dedicated multiplayer community where you can have faction wars and whatnot.
nope that's space engineers skdursh is talking about
