Not quite. That weapon sounds like it takes ages to cause the atmospheric firestorm. The Death Star is somewhat quicker to use. Plus, planetary shielding was unheard of at the time of TOR. The Death Star was built with countering it in mind.
Still, I'd say way more planet-destroying weapons in Star Wars than necessary. Let's not even get started on the Sun Crusher.

They said double rewards for PvP, but only the comms for completing warzones are doubled, quest rewards for the PvP dailies stay the same. Pisses me off.

The weirdest bit about TOR is how absolutely fucking dreadful some of the armorpiece designs are. I honestly don't get it.

To be fair Star wars always kind of had shity artistic style except for a few key things like the Star Destroyers.
