Melee, firearms and survival skills will be able to reach the maximum level.
So what is this maximum level? And how far can a character develop skills his archetype doesn't specialize in? E.g. how far can a soldier develop occult skill?

Your non-archetypal skills can go to 8 and rest can go up tp 10. Scores of 9-10 is a must for late game if you really want to see things to the end by attaining high level traits and perks. Your archetypal skills get a certain head start at the character creation screen, this bonus depending on your archetype. This system is flexible enough for experimentation. As we develop the mid and late game through further refining and balancing, these rules could be subject to change however, these are only insights for you Codexians.

They probably had "oh shit, we are not ready" -moment.
And quite soon there will be summer sales that will siphon money from potential lower tier backers.

Seeking €55,000, WOW! I don't see a happy ending there.

Ah yes, the KS video. Gotta appreciate the enthusiasm but it's somewhat hard to sit through.

The guy with the blue T-shirt and a low voice should have done all the talking, imo.

Anyhow, backed.

What is the projected length of the game? Somehow, I get the impression that it might be a 10-12 hour adventure on average.

Wow, I love the prologue stories for the different character classes. All the classes look fascinating. Seriously, I want to play as all of them. Usually in RPGs there are classes that look fun and others that are meh. I suspect I'll start the game 7 times and see which one captures my imagination the most.

Additional: this is the first time in a long time that I've been tempted by a physical reward. The Merry Folk children's book freaks me the fuck out just looking at it. Not $50 worth though. I hope a digital version will be available. The Stygian Tales poster looks great, too; printing a physical copy for my wall may be in the cards ... assuming the KS makes it.

Hey Scrawled, best of luck.

There was a question upthread that didn't get addressed: some here don't like radial menus. Will the radial menu be the only way to issue commands, or will you have robust keyboard input as well?

That is one fucked up pitch video. Still, turn-based and the guys seem like bros so backed. Best of luck.

... on further reading I like the ideas and vision. May up my pledge later depending on progress.

Hahah, I don't know what you people are talking about. The pitch video was a treat. Just further evidence that these guys are nerds in a good way. Pledge increased.
