I'd love to take part in tournament, but - having some MtG unofficial tournament experience - I'd really advise that we limit ourselves to a limited number of editions. If I understood the OP correctly, we're basically unlimited and have access to all the cards, and that shit can lead to thoroughly unbalanced decks and is just too random.

Myself - I'm best familiar with VIth ed, Invasion and VIIth ed, but I'll stick to whatever you guys pick. I'd say let the OP make the choice and enforce it on us so that it's as fast as possible and we can beging building decks right away.

he'd have to drop in RIGHT NAO for some of the leavers. should be possible if he has his deck ready.

    Here is the current ladder:

    http://challonge.com/codexmtg

Jaesun and procrastinator have both left. Jaesun has already lost one by walkover, whereas procrastinator hasn't. If you step in for procrastinator you start in his spot, if you step in for Jaesun you start in his spot down in lower bracket. I'd recommend stepping in for procrastinator obviously. As mentioned in the OP, we go peasant singleton: 100 cards, only one of each card barring basic lands, and only 8 uncommons the rest are common.

Your's too Grunker. Slight tempo change and any of those games could have gone the other way.

next time, let's make it a "normal" format, i never played a 100 cards game and have no idea of the format, it's not like in cockatrice it's difficult to get the cards...

Lost 1x2 to Edward_R_Murrow, after a epic long clash where everything that entered the table died...and the bastard was keeping even more removals on his hand!

Fun games, this tournament was a great idea. :salute:

Maybe we should do just a normal format so all the noobs can see what we're talking about first hand. We'll all just play gay ass turn 2-3 win decks and the tourney will take like 1 afternoon anyways.

I had a couple of good games with 60 cards decks. Nobody can beat my shitty burn deck though. Because you're all bad

    Red Deck Wins

arguably the most powerful deck in fucking cube where you have access to black lotus, ancestral recall and time walk. what wins? red deck

why not just do standard? can always ban delver if you guys feel its too dominant. or block constructed. it's understandable some people find 100c singleton deck construction daunting, bec. it is.

No matter which format we chose, there would be complaints en masse. The games played so far in this format have been fun and pretty close. I think the matches so far speak for themselves as to the quality of the format.

As mentioned: Jaesun and procrastinator are out due to failing to meet up. If you make a deck ASAP you can step in for procrastinator and start playing vs Jaedar in a fresh spot, if you are too slow you will have to start in the lower bracket with one loss for either jaesun or procrastinator. The steps you gotta do:

    1. read the rules (OP)
    2. make a deck
    3.PM me the deck
    4. contact jaedar and find a mutually agreeable date to play in. PM me when such a date has been found. I won't handhold you in either of these ventures, though, if you are late to the party you gotta hurry up yourself.
