And that's why TARA is so great. Even with a fucking zombie video, that's ridiculous to start with, they are clothed in black latex to pump out that fetish crowd. You can look silly - but just as long as you still look hot. TARA has an awesome wardrobe guy/gal/people. Plus, the girls are pretty gorgeous to start with. Where's the HD version?

Okay, okay. I take it back, you do have taste after all. That's legit.

Remember you have to watch it from YouTube (click the big YouTube logo in the lower right corner) for the HD options to be available.

How does one even dance to that? Shitty music is shitty.

Yes, and it's bloody awesome.

Where do I know that song from? @_@

In other news, She'z just released their first song.

It's a damn good start, IMO. It's clean, it's nice, it doesn't try too hard, it's catchy, it's happy. Gee, they are going straight to be my favorite newcomersafter the kind of stuff we have been getting lately.

What stuff? Stuff like GangKiz first song, for example.

T-Ara's little protegees try too hard to be T-Ara and fail. Meh. It's not a dud. It's not awesome. Damns aren't being given.

And there's also Hello Venus' Venus. People seems to like it.

I don't. Like, when the only two things on your mind after watching this MV for the first time are "Aren't those the guys from NU'EST?" and "Aren't they stealing that part from After School's Rambling Girls?" you know you aren't in the groups' target demographic.

Since we are at it, let's post some NU'EST. They may be a boys' band, but they are a serious contender for this year's best new group.

It's like Kenka Bancho with hot guys and dancing.

Damn, now I feel like LPing Kenka Bancho. @_@

What was the song, I think it was Korean, that had the girls acting all tough and breakdancing?

Ah, well worth watching it in HD. Those girls sure can rock a pair of latex trousers. Reminds me a lot of the Roly Poly Copacabana song/dance.

Edit: Oh yeah and the LMFAO Party Rock dance! That's where they copied it from.

I dunno, but I was drunk enough last night to dance to it.

Also, I'm sorry but I killed you:

Now I'm going to be imagining that for a long, long time. :P

You are mean with kitty. :(

All that aside I just found this song, and it's bloody awesome. I can't take it out of my head and am totally emotionally engaged by it. *hangs head in shame*

    Bokurano.

One of the more interesting songs from Ishikawa:

K-pop certainly has much, much better production quality in their MVs. And prettier girls. And catchy tunes. And some of the best dances around. But I find that the Japanese are more open to experimentation in their music, so they're more interesting to me overall.

I believe the problem is that Korea went much further into Idol culture than Japan itself. Like, Japan has many legit and/or experimental pop bands where Korea turns most of them into yet another Idol group even if against their will, like it kind of happened to Brown Eyed Girls.

Korea has the idol formula down to a tee, but to be honest they are kind of starting to flood the market with way too many copycats and you just reach a point were you start filtering out most of the stuff that comes out.

    Some Japanese stuffies nao.

SuG's pretty awesome, and is one of the few bands I enjoyed before turning into a popularity gaki. And while 39GalaxyZ is not their best song, not so by a long shot, it's one of my favorites simply because of how deliriously weird and uplifting it is.

    And they are all hot.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is one of my favorite soloists in the multiverse. She's just so awesome and weird I could hug her to death while squeeing, and I love how surreal her stuff can get.

And there's also Hatsuki Yura, who is my favorite Doujin Music girl. She doesn't do MV, though, so the closest thingie there is would be one of her songs being used as opening to a bloody awesome game. But, like, the Opening version is cut so instead I'll post the full one.

That must be the most awesome thing to ever come out of Japan.

I also like some older stuff I came into contact with through my brother's own friends, like...

If I had a time machine Gackt wouldn't have a place to hide nor a way to escape.

What on earth is a doujin music girl? Aren't doujins porno versions of manga?

While doujin is a word in itself when used in that way it refers to Doujinshi instead, which is used for self-published works in all forms of media (though I believe the term originated in literary circles or something like that, I don't remember the story too well). If you write a manga and publish it on your own it is a doujinshi work regardless of it being pornographic fanfic or a work of literary genius, and the same goes for self published music, self published anime, self published games, etc.

I guess a good not literal translation would be "indie" or something like that.

Didn't like the way the official video is cut up so much, the dance is pretty hypnotic.

Found one video from Orange Caramel that I think hasn't been posted yet:

And this group has an actual normal girl as a member, alongside the usual anorexic types:

Plus the rapper has an awful horse face. Probably sharp knees as well.

BlackCat, you should have posted this video as a perfect "intro" to T-ARA. It also proves that the lyrics are completely irrelevant in KPop:

Pity Girl's Day never made a dance tutorial video of that Chicken Tonight/Kentucky Fried Chicken dance of Nothing lasts forever.
