Steam reviews says it's only half as long as the original, being easily beated under 6 hours. Eh, will wait for bundle.

I think it was just a quick cash grab for Holloween, which they could make in a short time. They had all the assets from the first one, so they didn't have to put too much work in it. 15 dollar is a bit much, 10 dollar would be more reasonable.

I beat Costume Quest 2. It's also a good game to have whenever my younger cousin is at my place.

The game is shorter and easier than the first game. Yet it is still a better overall experience and better paced. I'm satisfied with the amount of money I paid, but I knew what I was getting myself into with this purchase.

I'd say go for it at a $5 price point if you want to play something lighthearted.

Oh man, just noticed the top of this page -- the AVERAGE employee makes 120,000 a year? No wonder they're fucking broke all the time.

Layoffs Hit Double Fine

Double Fine has suffered layoffs after a deal for an unannounced project fell through.

Double Fine confirmed the layoffs in a statement to IGN. Twelve of the company's workers were let go as a result of the unexpected cancellation of the unnamed game.

The Costume Quest 2 developer said that the layoffs are only relevant to the cancelled project, and its other games currently in development are unaffected by today's news.

Currently, Double Fine is working on Broken Age: Act 2, Massive Chalice, and the remake of the Lucasarts classic Grim Fandango Remastered.

Lay-offs are an all too common part of working in the tumultuous games industry, with companies like Wildstar developer Carbine Studios, Angry Birds developer Rovio, and Strife dev S2 Games all recently seeing reductions in their staff numbers.

It's a horrible time of the year to be out of work, no one deserves that due to schafer's shitty management. Unless the 12 people laid off were all Chris Remo clones.

does it? even rps said it feels lifeless and as if something is missing, despite all their fucking praise for it.

I saw it was 33% off on STEAM but will wait for a permanent price drop and once that happens, wait for the 75% sale.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
Long-ass video, but it's loads of fun to watch because:

# You get to see some amazing glitches.
# You get live commentary from Double Fine.
# Tim Schaefer seems like a pretty cool guy.
# They talk about Psychonauts 2.

Enjoy.
