Well, some will say that's it's luck-driven, and it is, but it's one of those games where you have to manage your chances well, knowing risks and rewards, the strenghts of your character, and so on.
Experienced players win consistently so there you have it.
I understand it shines in Multiplayer, but I play it SP.
The AI is not easily programmable for a game like this, but they do improve it with every new expansion, of which there have been a lot.
The Season Pass is rarely heavily discounted, but it's been almost 4 years since the original release and they're still adding expansions. Truly a good deal for the content.
Consider that some of those expansions change the game dramatically too, it's not just new cards.
What can I say, I like the game a lot.
With the expansions, it's like a a compendium of all things fantasy condensed in a board game.
Very flavorful, nice music too.
They UI is great for the most part, even though a few areas could be improved (most notably the spell casting/interrupt mechanic, which needs some getting used to).

Again I don't play online but I know there are groups that schedule games (rather than looking for random games, you should look for similarly inclined players in the forums I imagine).
