"So, this is simply a xbone/ps4 port?"
"No! This is the remastered version! We actually went back and looked at every piece of art and sound asset in the game with the capabilities of next-gen consoles in mind!"
"And what did you change?"
"Well, it's 1080p now."
"60 fps?"
"Sometimes."

The original BL1 has the best writing, voice acting and gameplay (esp rate of difficulty and loot increment) of the series, particularly the DLCs, so if they do a good job...good for them.

Most new stuff is shit, there's nothing wrong with shining up the few good games out there.

The original game's setting/story/writing was better because it wasn't done by Anthony Burch and isn't full of shitty internet meme jokes. That said, if ALL they're doing is improving the visuals I wouldn't spend a dime on it. If they improved the mechanics, character trees, enemies, etc. to be on par with the sequels... sure. But I doubt they'll go to that much effort.

It had the best atmosphere too. Pandora had a nice desolate and gloomy post-apocalyptic-like atmosphere in comparison to Bl2 and Pre-sequel where it's more of a goofball playground.

RE: this "remaster", they better do more than spice up the graphics, like perhaps adding two extra player classes to bring it up to BL2 and Pre-sequel's rosters.

BL writing was boring.
