I liked both 1 and 2 enough to preorder W3. W1 is rougher around the edges, e.g things get thoroughly confused if you stumble across stuff in the wrong order, and it has some incredibly stupid moments like being dumped into a boss fight straight from a long-ass cutscene and conversation with no possibility to save. On the other hand it has some seriously awesome quests and overall better/more story. Also cooler alchemy than W2.

W2 looks better, has fewer mind-bendingly stupid moments, and should be played through at least twice because the bulk of the game has two entirely different plotlines depending on which side you pick, and you only really find out what's going on after seeing it from both sides. On the other hand it has a stupid inverse difficulty curve where things start out hard and then get really easy, the worst boss fights based on QTE's(!), and a weak ending.

I would imagine that W3 is going to be confusing if you haven't played the first two. Unless they somehow manage an epic infodump in the beginning. W2 certainly would be if you haven't played W1. You start out naked in bed with a redhead and then go fight in a war where the king clearly thinks you're the bee's knees, and if you have no idea who the redhead or king are or what is this Nilfgaardian ambassador all about, it is all a bit LOLwut.

1. That is only for ghost dog boss. Rest of the game doesn't do that.
2. Inverse dif was thing with 1.0. still is in EE but overall not at scale of 1.0
3. We don't know how they present story. Both TW1 and TW2 sort of did a thing for new comers and i think TW3 will do the same. There is like whole prologue for newcomers.

Imo best way to experience naturally is to read the books. You can download all of the via pdf. Last 3 are fan translations but they are quite good actually compared to mediacore official translation. Then TW1 then TW2 and then TW3.

Ok so, The Bitcher series is obviously a KODEX fan favourite, suprising, givin that it's pretty popamole 3rd person RPG with some C&C sprinkled in..

So which one is the best one, 1 or 2? and is 3 gon be the best 1?

1 has the sex cards, and 2 has the sex scenes. 3 will have sex scenes with clothes on, if you live in the wrong country.

Can I make sense of the "story" if I play number 3 first?
No! Remember: First foreplay, then sex and then spray off after you finished the first two things. Not spray off at the beginning, because then you will have no foreplay and no sex, and the women will laugh about you.

No health regen without potions or meditation apparently. Alcohol management will be important it seems.

Pure 50% Vol is a good disinfectant, and if you drink it the rest, you also don't feel the pain anymore.
Jehnna: I suppose nothing hurts you.
Conan drunk: Only pain.

Could an english/polish speaker tells me his opinion on the dubbing in Witcher2? I'm tempted to play the game again with Polish voiceover for maximum kurwa immersion, but first i'ld like the confirmation that the voice acting is good.
Even if I dont understand shit except siema pl & kurwa, it's very important.

Did anyone notice that Geralt character is more eloquent and witty in the "Precious cargo" quest video then in last two games? And the guy doing the voice is not as stiff and dull as always? He actually sounds great.

I dunno about this. The gameplay in the videos does look rather bland overall and the "hueg penis world" gives a vibe that running around the nature like a hippie will not only be the core activity but will also get really tiresome really fast. As if the world is big for the sake of being big rather than for a decided purpose that would bring the experience more tightly together as a whole. That's just the impression I get.

Hard to say which one is better, both are good for the reasons I said.

3 looks like it will be significantly worse, giving up the thing CDPR did best (mostly linear storytelling) to become a Skyrim clone.

Rockstar-game clone, more like. Watching those clips makes me think of red dead redemption. Hope it isn't all riding between markers on your GPS like that game seemed in the brief time I played it.

I have no problems with this game being a GTA clone... since I like GTA clones. And to be honest... it really has everything that could make this game a GTA spinoff: collectibles, minigames, clothing shops, whores, transportation... Can you attack random people in town?

A horse of course

People really need to stop substituting "Witcher" with "Bitcher"

"The Bitcher" is a real pornographic CYOA flash game parody of the original Witcher, and using the titles interchangeably will only cause confusion.

I don't really get the point of these interviews because the interviewer just sets up softball questions that act more like segues for the CDPR guys to start talking marketing bollocks.

At one point they're talking about how you can turn off quest markers if you're a super hardcore player and the interviewer is just like 'oh that's cool yeah'
Ask the guy if they designed the quests from the ground up to accommodate the absence of these features.
He also asks about scaled loot and the CDPR guy gets narky and just sidesteps the question saying it's not his area or whatever and they let him off the hook. He might not have implemented the feature but he seems happy enough to sit there spouting hyperbole so outrageous it would give Todd Howard pause. So quiz him on why he personally thinks scaled loot is good and why it belongs in the game.

Despite there being more press and coverage of this game I can't decide whether it will be any good or if it's just going to be shitty, dank meme bait for reddit man babies so I guess I'll probably just buy it play for 150 hours and declare it the biggest piece of shit I've ever played.

The Polish version of VO is great in both 1&2.

We came up with "The Bitcher" here first though.

Do it. Even if you don't understand language itself you will understand intonation itself. That alone makes PL version of TW miles above eng one.
You can always later replay game in eng and compare it.

Watch from 4:10. Combat system is still roll spamming. It looked nice on official gameplay videos, when CDPR wanted to show how dodge button works. But why do you need a dodge button when you simply can just roll your way out. Dissapointing.

/edit

This guy doesn't use dodge button through the whole video, combat looks exactly like in W2. Using dodge would be metagaming, since rolling is still more effective. It looks fucking horrible.
