Interesting because? John Cage did something similar back in the early 60s with Atlas eclipticalis, except in that case it was the "music of the stars". It was fucking stupid then and it is fucking stupid now.

But how much post-processing will be done to ensure these musical tones are mildly enjoyable rather than shit?

Why don't you just listen to them and tell us what you think?

This is of course very strange music, but is has the curious effect that I like to listen to it.
But this is something I would listen to when I am in a hospital bed for example.

I have no idea why LS is butthurt over it.

Sounds bland. They then seem to redo portions of it with instruments to make it sound better. Will wait for Album of Jeff to judge further.

Why bother? Its not music. For all you know that guy could have written notes at random and you wouldn't know any better. What's the fucking point then?

a long while ago I listened to an album based off converted electrical signals from a plant into minimalistic string instrument(harp? synth in any case) sounds

some artistic interpretation of the data was probably required to make the end result palatable, it was sparish and reminiscent of one of those zen flute albums

in any case it was still a lot better than the brain blues track there actually, holy shit that just sounds like a randomly generated midi file, Surf Solar get in here

    huh? :P

It's an interesting technique. I am sure with a bit effort and editing, one could make good and moody drones out of it. If you like William Basinski, for sure such things can be made with this.

dude forget the technique and organic note generation stuff, I mean couldn't they have used some post editing on that track I was referring to

well unless it's an atonal masterpiece in your opinion bros, I'm not exactly well experienced in that area of music

this one I liked a bit more however, like some kind of glitch ambient one man jam session

and yes basinski is p. cool
