Hello boys
It's been a while
I wanted to show this new project i'm working on
It's very inspired by games that i love very much
But i've never had the balls to make them, because they're very complex
But now i have! Behold!

This is just to show the basic X,Y,Z sorting of the grid

This is to show level cutting in front of the player using a simple raycast

This is to show my little secret, only you will know

Some basic A* Pathfinding (with Z axis)

Loads of creatures wanting me (Pathfinding works nice)

I know there isn't a lot of feedback to be given here, but last time i did a devlog it was nice to keep me motivated, so...
I also just realized i didn't encoded the gifs with looping, so i'm sorry!

Thanks for staying a while and listening!

Cool. Looks good. I had forgotten how steep a camera angle the old Ultima games had.
Its funny, after a while i kinda got used to it - i remember the first time i saw this perspective though, my mind couldn't handle it very well as i was seeing everything layed down on the floor

As someone who still plays Tibia I shall be following this.
Please do, i want to Make Tibia Great Again

Good job, you've gotten farther than most ever will (me included). Keep on trucking.
If you want i might start streaming some gamedev real soon, i'll talk a little about the technical stuff so you can keep going on your project

If yes, why?
The reason is because it's faster
Also i don't have to program raycasts and physics, which i'll happily use Unity's in a single command line
And yes, the game does have real-time physics, i'll show it pretty soon

Anyways, i started messing around with the graphics on the game, and by graphics i mean a block of grass+dirt and a naked guy

Looking at naked men for... reference.

Took me a while to find a grass that wasn't horrible... i guess i found it... right?

Bruno, who is the server programmer also already linked Steam to the game and got accounts working, togehter with some protocol events (which means i can now see other people and vice-versa!)

I'm not 100% sure if i'm going with this style though, but so far i like the naked men running in the forest

I also created some perlin noise but quickly discarded that idea due to the fact that i'm not smart enough to deal with it, specially on the server side

Anyways, i might start streaming some development on Twitch really soon, talk a little bit about the ideas i've had to improve on the old Tibia format, aswell as getting a little bit into game dev talk, i've heard people are into that
