I think it looks pretty great already, actually. Didn't think it would be this promising, haven't kept close tabs on the project.

Do we have any reason to believe the prototype is based on an old build?

I just mean that a screen a Dev may take could be in a different build than what is released. Different entities, lighting, effects etc.

That said Infinitron 's screenshot looks pretty spot on.

The processing is indeed different (they toned down the "plasticy" sheen that people complained about)

It looks the same in Infinitron's screenshot. There are some some poly popping issues that appear like LOD issues would in various areas... to be expected at this point in development.

Anyone who watches a video or has played the prototype sees that those screens are not doctored. Having played it now, it feels better than video or screens suggest. The areas reminiscent of the original's level design are particularly exciting to me because they look organic and have that UU feel.
