Any way to make it so you only get alerts for only the post immediately after your reply?

And not refresh it every time you click on the thread?

I thought it did that already. It gives me a notification for the first post after mine and then just says "there may be more messages after this".

If you click on the thread again, it will refresh the alert. That's a bit annoying. I only want to get alerts when someone replies to me, so quotes or immediately after my post.

The way it's working now is core XF functionality, so highly unlikely to be changed as it'd be more trouble than it's worth.
