    And if the Password Recovery doesn't work (there was an error transitioning accounts during the upgrade), use the "contact us" link right down the bottom right of the forums and harass us about it. Include your account name and its e-mail address (or whatever parts of it you remember).

    "This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

    <strong>[ Game -> Patch ]</strong>

    <a href="http://www.shrapnelgames.com">Shrapnel Games'</a> and <a href="http://www.digital-eel.com/">Digital Eel's</a> sci-fi strategy game <a href="http://www.shrapnelgames.com/digital_eel/weird_worlds/">Weird Worlds</a> was given patch 1.1 today.
    <br><br>Here's the press release and a little of what it adds:
    <br><blockquote> Digital Eel and Shrapnel Games would like to announce the release of the official Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space patch. The patch brings the retail version of the game to version 1.1, and includes both brand spanking new game enhancements, and an assortment of bug smashing. Here's a partial listing of what fans can expect when the patch is applied:

    * NEW! Scoring based on the difficulty level.

    * NEW! Enemies without guns now flee like the cowardly sporgborks they are!

    * NEW! Various command line and in-game options have been added.

    * NEW! Lots of cool new things for mod-makers.

    * (Fixed) Hitting F1 in combat twice kept the game paused.

    * (Fixed) Fighters can be rammed.

    * (Fixed) Lifeforms can now be found on frozen planets.

    * (Fixed) Mod banners not falling back to default folder.

    * …and much more!
    </blockquote>Grab that patch <a href="http://www.shrapnelgames.com/digital_eel/weird_worlds/6.htm">here.</a><br><br>I myself have never played it, but it sounds interesting and I think i'll give the demo a spin.

    I played the original. It wasn't bad, but it was strictly a coffee-break game. A shame, since it felt like it could have been an epic game, on the scale of Star Control 2. Still, I suppose if you're looking for a pick-up-and-go game, this one would fit the suit.
