PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Lately I've been having reoccurring dreams about playing Diablo, even though I haven't touched a game in that genre since torchlight 2s release. In my dreams I am looking from an Ingame perspective, clearing dungeons and organizing loot. The levels are always unique but somewhat familiar settings, like ice caves and jungle ruins. Another game that I dream about often is Cities Skylines. In my dreams I can hear the sound of roads being plopped and buildings being upgraded. When I wake up I try my best to recreate the cities of my dreams, and it always turns out to be a completely viable city.

What games/genres do you dream about? Are they dreams about playing the games or are you actually in the game as a character.

Funny, ive had something similar. But i often dream about this game that doesn't really exist. Its actually the next project im going to develop.
Its an isometric turn based PvP oriented game.

Not too long ago I dreamed I was playing Quake. But not as in playing Quake on a computer, I was inside the game.

It's kinda odd because I haven't played Quake in years, not sure what could have cause me to dream about it.

when i was a kid i once dreamt of golden axe. the weird detail is that golden axe still didn't exist yet. i clearly dreamt of the dwarf with the axe and of the woman's final spell, but it was in 1986-87.
i've always been a strange kid.

I don't usually have dreams with real games, instead they are (really awesome) games that don't exist, and I tend to be the character in the game (usually female, sometimes male). I don't play a game, I navigate the gameworld like I would navigate real life, and I actually feel sensations of touch and pain etc, but it's still very much a game from the way the world works, and I am aware of it being a game. Or... I dunno, it's actually a mix of being "real" and a game. As in, I'm in a world that just operates with video game rules, or at least some video game rules - respawns or reloading doesn't exist, if I make a mistake, it sticks. But game-ish stuff happens and when I wake up and remember parts of it I usually think that would be awesome as an actual game.

Speaking about Diablo - The Hell mod is the thing that haunted me for few nights after long sessions with it. Hard as nail, just like creators promised. When old enemies now can kick your ass harder than in vanilla - it hurt.
When you can't find similar good titles like Diablo or Diablo:The Hell because 99% of h'n's titles since '90 are colourful and cherish full of rainbow diarrhea - there is a problem.

Stalker with Misery2 mod done right (more survival oriented and intense and harder).
Then I woke up and did some tweaks myself. Still not as great as I dreamed (need C++ or shit like that do go deeper) but better than creators intended.

Scariest dream I ever had, I was in Mission Critical.

There's something just... unsettling about that game.

There was two dreams that came to mind, both of them occurred when binged played said games. Being lost in Silent Hill 2 in the labyrinth area and LoZ: Ocarina of Time which link was just wandering around and smashing vases up.

Some nonexistent walking simulator where a large vagina grows out of the floor and bites my legs off then chews the rest of my body while I'm screaming in pain.
