Have you guys played Baldurs Gate 2 or Planescape to see how the inventory pile is done? It's just a regular pile of items with collision disabled so that the player doesn't bump on it and items don't really pile on top of each other but intersect. When the player clicks on any of these items an invetory window shows them all that are in the same square.

Planescape had horrible "hunt the pixel" problems with pickup.

Not sure if you checked out the animation thread lately, but we're wondering what style/tone of animation you're going after - realistic or stylistic, or something else?

Well, most animations are done in the style that you saw in the combat video. I personally prefer over-the-top comics style, but it's too late to change all animations. We will tweak what we can though.
