To be fair, you can't get the original version (even on GOG, the original now comes as DLC if you buy the Enhanced edition :M ), so it's either recommending that or not including PST on the list. And it's not really complimenting the update, just the game.

Amusingly, Games for Men's review sounds what I'd expect from the Codex one:
