The trashing of <a href=http://www.polgame.com/eng/game.shtml>Power of Law: COPS 2170</a> continues. <a href=http://www.worthplaying.com>Worthplaying</a> has posted a negative 4.5/10 <a href=http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=23804&mode=thread&order=0>review</a> calling the game mediocre and frustarting.

The combat in this game, truly the epicenter of any turn-based tactical combat game, is just not very good. It's like they saw enough of other turn-based tactical games to get the general idea of how they worked, but never bothered to actually learn what makes them fun. Just moving around the map is far more of a pain than it even remotely needs to be. When you enter an area that has enemies, the game switches to turn-based combat regardless of whether there are any enemies around or not. These areas are vast, and the enemies are typically scattered throughout. </blockquote>Doesn't sound very appealing

Another worthless review, all the information about game and difficulty settings is in the manual, seems that this guy played first mission and wrote review or copied it from other site. Although he did manage to notice that there is a manual on the CD, but seems like he didn't bother to read it, bah, reviewers these days...

If the game is so terrible, why did they give it a score that says it is just below average? Surely it should have got something more like 2/10? Scores are rarely used sensibly.

WHY do they keep bitching about the voice acting? It's fine. Go play Seal of Evil with English voices and then tell me Cops has bad voice acting.

The combat is fine, apparently they are too spastic to add a few more seconds to play. It's a classic TB like X-Com, where everything is turn-based and there isnt 'few enemies around vast areas', thats the whole reason I like the constant TB for combat zones, because there is enemies evenly placed around the map.

If it didnt have the constant TB, you'd be going into TB mode like every other minute.

Spastic fucks.
