Do we need to re-volunteer once we get shot down? Or does the name remain in your lists and is reused once spots open up?
I don't automatically re-enlist dead soldiers, unless they specifically mentioned it.
Garfunkel II is still alive.

UPDATE 21 - Flawless Victory
When we left off, a small sub was just shot down by an interceptor.
Triton-1 makes it to the mission site before the night, as usual.
Gilmen. That shouldn't be too tough.
Oscar shoots the one camping our exit.
Yeesh IV finds a shadow to the west.
A pulser is thrown, it kills a gilman but not the one in Yeesh's line of sight.
It was standing right next to it though.
TripJack finishes off the wounded gilman with a well aimed sonic blast.
And Yeesh IV finds the sub, not far to the west.
A gilman shoots at Alexandros but surprisingly, misses.
Gondolin IV finds the attacker.
And eklektyk kills it, ending the mission
Well that's a rather good result. Few aliens killed, that's one of the first missions with no casualties at all.
More promotions.
Another sub is revealed by our sonar. A barracuda is sent to intercept.
And the sub is shot down near Europe.
The Pacific base hasn't received its Triton yet, so it's up to the Atlantic crew to do the recovery once again.
Alexandros finds the sub to our East.
kazgar discovers our foes for this mission. More gilmen.
lightbane deals with the one in sight.
Alexandros discovers a gilman waiting in ambush.
A pulser is thrown, but it's dangerously close to kazgar who can't move any further.
The grenade explodes.
And kazgar escapes unharmed !
Alexandros finds another gilman waiting in ambush.
Instead of just dropping down the ledge, he takes the long way around. Thankfully, he has enough TU left to attack the alien twice, and kill it.
kazgar spots something shiny on the floor near the sub. It's Zrbite !
Certain of his luck, he presses on and comes face to face with three hostiles.
He runs away, but not far enough.
A pulser is thrown. Gilmen die.
kazgar got wounded this time, but survived ! It really is his lucky day.
He charges, sure that nothing can happen to him.
After killing a gilman from behind, he discovers an alien ready to shoot him at the slightest movement.
He runs away again, while another pulser is thrown.
kazgar peeks around the corner, and finds another alien! Is there no end to them ?
kazgar runs away yet again, and a pulser kills the last gilman of the mission
Another mission without casualty. Is this a sign of a long lasting trend ?
More promotions are awarded.
Disruptor Ammo is finally done producing.
And Pacific-1 receives its Triton, at last. The next mission is for the aquanauts stationed there.
M.C. Labs are designed. They will allow us to reveal our soldier's M.C. strength and train them to better resist attack.
Construction of a lab is started in Atlantic-1. It's the 9th, so soldiers won't see the benefits of the lab until July.
The building of two labs is started in Pacific-1. Every soldier shall be implanted with a M.C. chip.
Finally, Ion Armor is ordered from manufacture. It's not exactly cheap but it's affordable.
We begin by ordering 20 suits, that should keep technicians occupied till the end of the month.
Research on the Thermal Shok Launcher is at an end.
Before we can use, we need to research the ammo too. So scientists are started on that.
A small sub is found, again in North Atlantic.
It doesn't take long for our interceptor to bring it down.
eklektyk's dons the first suit of Ion Armor.
But as promised, it's Triton-2, from Pacific-1, that gets sent to recover the sub. Will the rookies perform as admirably as the veterans from Atlantic-1 ?
