I completed CBFD for the first time a couple of months ago and found it LP-worthy right away.
AFAIK this game is considered a total :decline: of the developer (Rare), due to it's popamole gameplay and lack of EXTREME platforming, but it doesn't mean it isn't worth a LP...

TBH I found the game quite funny and charming, and its weaknesses don't overshadow its strong points. BTW, let's list them:
  • rock-solid gameplay and controls (haters gonna hate),
  • sense of humor (should be right up 'Dex alley - piss, shit, sex, mindless violence, etc.),
  • furries, :obviously:
  • good writing (for a platformer),
  • voice acting ranging from decent to awesome,
  • truly EPIC boss battles,
  • non-violent approach works at least as good as in Fallout 2,
  • introduces the AWESOME button 10 years before Dragon Age 2,
  • inspired Psychonauts in more areas than Tim Schafer would admit,
  • last game published for Nintendo 64 - one of the shittiest consoles made by Nintendo (the competition is severe recently, though).

What I found especially great is the fact, that the game is full of more or less obscure movie / book / game references.
It looks like the devs went out of ideas for the story around 1/3 of the game and decided to simply cram into it as many pop-culture references as possible.
Which should end in a disaster, but this time it didn't.

This stuff is one of the main reasons for LP-ing the game - moar on it later.

1. About the LP

In order to expand the fanbase of my epic LPs and reach for the newfag, post-2010 audience, I've decided to make my LPs much more accessible from now on. It should lead to much more streamlined and focused experience.
Since the screenshots + text mechanics are becoming more and more obsolete with every LP in the Playground, I've decided to move on with the times, jump on the bandwagon, stop hitting on the dead horse, etc.

2. Technical stuff

I will be using a stolen beta of Project64 - 1.7.0.50 with following settings:

I'm using older version of Glide64 plugin, since the recent ones have some problems with properly displaying the output in full screen (an upper part of the screen is missing - wrong aspect ratio or some shit).

There are still some problems with emulation, mainly with shadows and audio slowdowns / stuttering, but nothing major IMO.

3. About the game

4. About reader involvement in the LP (rules)

Rule #1:

Your main way of waving your e-penis / e-clit around by posting in this LP should be simple - find as many pop-culture references in the game as possible.
And there's a shitload of them, trust me (mainly in later half of the game).

But there's one rule:

Simply posting the reference is not enough - you have to post a proof (YewTube clip, IMDB Quote, etc.)

One minor technical question: why 800x600? Shouldn't the screens be 640x480, i.e., two times the native resolution? (I'm assuming the resolution must be 4:3, i.e., 320x240.)

For a streamlined LP, it is rather hard to read. Clicking and loading a separate video for each cutscene is a pain. The screenshots and comments alone are not enough to convey what actually happens.

I'm not LP expert, but I think it'd be best if you chose one medium, either video or screenshots, rather than this hybrid kind of thing. Screenshots would get me preference as this is a game I heard much about but never got to play back when I owned a Nintendo console.

Ah, Conker, an awesome game, I played the Xbox's remake (the only good game for the xbox imo), too bad that Rare has gone full retard nowadays, so no chance of having a sequel for this game (or at least, a good one, the latest Banjo game was utter shit).
