What can I say except:

:yeah:

I've been testing FFT 1.3 for some time and having great fun.
The one and only thing I'm missing is... a team of brave motherfucking Codexers to join my cause.

92sNI.jpg

So...

1) I will play Final Fantasy Tactics 1.3 Easytype Complete version.

Why Easytype - Hardtype 1.3 is so hard it's no longer fun. Check here.
Why Complete - We will have a chance to check out the new translation (taken from PSP version of the game)

Since this mod combines two separate mods, there are some glitches:

ta018.jpg

This LP may end prematurely due to that.

:smug:

2) I will use psX 1.13 since it's the best PSX emulator in existence.

3) ATM I need 8 volunteers (or more), who should post only two things if they want to join:

a) The name of their character (up to 14 letters)
b) The sex of their character (m/f)

Before every 'story battle' I will ask for 4 volunteers who will be obliged to post following info:

a) How should I spend their JP (which abilities should their character learn) - I will post needed info every time, don't worry
b) Which Job should their character choose for the upcoming battle (determines Action Abilities #1 and usable equipment)
b) Which Abilities should their character choose (Action Abilities #2, Reaction Ability, Support Ability, Movement Ability)
c) Which Weapon should their character use (dagger / bowgun for example - totally different use of a character in battle)

And that's it I think.

3) I will play semi-ironman. So, no quicksave-quickload spam. If some of the characters die (KOed and not resurrected within 3 turns) - he/she will die. If Ramza dies, I'll go back to the savegame and try again.

4) No special characters (Agrias, Cid) - only regular units.

5) No monsters - they suck (no jobs, can't equip items).

6) No grinding - only regular 'random encounters' when moving from point A to B.

7) YouTube videos for story cutscenes - I want to spend my time playing the damn game not transcribing some 'ole engrish'.

004. Knight Chocobo Raider

We start the game in the:

ta019.jpg

But first things first...

Who wants to join Ramza Beoulve in his quest for world domination?
(8 fags or more who plan to follow this LP - shit requires constant input some posts once in a while so alts with short attention span should stay away)

Not really...
One more thing - if you REALLY want to plan your jobs / abilities ahead, check out the Insane Difficulty page.
Too bad that the version I'm playing (Easytype) is not compatible with it (Hardtype) - for example there are Archers, not Marksmen available, etc.
I will be posting info about new jobs / abilities when they become available.

Am I reading this correctly? If a male geomancer picks up the dancer job, he becomes a tranny?

Also, ninjas and summoners! My 2 most favouritest things

In the grim universe of FF Tactics, everyone's sexuality is under question. Also, there are only blondes.

@ Ulminati - I'm not sure if Hardtype Mod's rules concerning jobs (pictured) apply in Easytype Mod...

But.

'Dancer' is female-only job and 'Bard' is male-only AFAIR.

Don't worry about this, tho - Warcupine isn't going to live that long.

Check above video out if you want to know what is the game about / what was changed from vanilla.
People who played vanilla should quickly spot some differences in difficulty (AI's behavior, equipment and abilities):
