Trying to analyze unfinished software is tricky. Take Hammer and Sickle, a tactical strategy-role-playing hybrid from developer Nival Interactive and publisher CDV. After tooling around with a playable Alpha build of the game, it's clear that it has a ton of potential, but it's so rough around the edges that all you can do is hope that Nival cleans it up before its release later this year.This is why idiots shouldn't be given alphas.
