Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 Act 1

No one likes Act 3 in D2. No one.

Really? While it had it's down-points, the Travincal and Durance of Hate was pretty damn good. Also Mephisto is the best boss outside of Diablo. Act 2 and 5 are the worst. Act 1 was by far the best chapter.

D2's main downside is how it went away from Diablo's dark and gritty atmosphere and the only thing to do is really magic find items. It's a treasure hunting simulator. The subsequent patches increased mob difficulty so much, and the game is too gear-driven that it makes making any unique builds worthless by end-game.

Diablo 1 will always have a special place in my gaming heart. A truly memorable game with unmatched atmosphere.
