Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is a damn good action game.
Despite codexian hate

I agree, I thought it had quite fun first person melee combat but it lacks the "S" part from "FPS". Serious Sam games were already mentioned, those are good too. Painkiller deserves some love at least as well. If you can enjoy easy games that take you for a fun ride than you could also have some fun with Prey and Timeshift. Obviously, most people here will say they're utter shit.

Why not recommend Penumbra series too then? I think dude asked for "FPS".

Woah, I thought it was about a mute scientist who pushed a thingie into another bigger thingie and then evil aliens popped up so you kill them and their leader, the giant floating alien baby.

Red Faction: Guerilla.

This is not a fps. It is a hammer game simulator.

I have been playing the shit out of battlefield bad company 2 on my ps3, since my computer has been running like a piece of shit. It is pretty fuckin amazing multiplayer. Not as good as battlefield 2, but that shit wouldn't run for more than 30 seconds on my computer because of punkbuster.

Haha in what regard is HL1 deeper than pain killer?

In that you don't get locked in 5m x 5m room with copy pasta monsters running at you from the same respawn point.

It's one of those phrases that summons Skyway, though he's already here now so I guess it's safe to mention it going forward.
