CVG reports:

Publisher financial reports, as we've mentioned before, can be an extremely valuable resource when it comes to getting a sneak peak at forthcoming, hush-hush titles. Eidos conducted such a report last month, and a corporate slideshow covering it that wiggled its way onto the 'Net (accidentally, it appears; and incidentally it's now been pulled) has proved highly enlightening.

Eidos' report has revealed a number of intriguing upcoming games for its fiscal year 2005 (running from July 1 2004 to the end of June 2005). Key products listed include what's described as a Deus Ex "Action" title, a Commandos "Tactical Shooter" (interesting), the seventh Tomb Raider, and a fourth outing for IO Interactive's Hitman series (rumour is suggesting this could be called Hitman: Blood Money).
...
Further details on the newly unveiled Eidos titles are scant, but at least one, the Deus Ex "Action" game, is surrounded by a whirlwind of speculation.

It's suggested that development of the Deus Ex title is being handled by Crystal Dynamics (the studio recently given responsibility for the Tomb Raider franchise). Possibly relating to Deus Ex: Clan Wars, a game spoken of toward the end of last year, word is that it's a multiplayer action title set in the Deus Ex world.

Destined for at least PS2, Xbox, if not other platforms also, may well get a look in. Ion Storm's Warren Spector, not surprisingly, is rumoured to be involved.

Speaking to Eidos' UK arm earlier today about the titles listed in the financial report, it said it had "no further comment" to make. We expect most, if not all, will be revealed at E3 next month. Stay tuned.
Deus Ex "Action" game? What were the first two? Text-based adventures?

That's not the point, though! They're making it for console, so if we ever do get a PC version, it'll be totally gimped since it's designed for Xbox and--oh, wait.

Oh, right. This is essentially what the fucking well did with Invisible War! SILLY ME!

Deus Ex 3 was announced right before Invisible War came out. Spector doesnt enjoy thinking things out, I guess.
