I'm digging it....highly addictive, it's like crack....nothing more visceral than driving over an enemy in your vehicle and hearing the bones break.

I think everything is clicking on this game...they brought in the best of Tribes, UT, Q3 action, etc.

The thing with FPS's (before the flaming begins) is I like the fact that if I have only 10 minutes to play...I can hop on a server, wax some 3L1T3 d00dz, and then hop off.....good times! RPG's are for when I have at least an hour to commit....since the gameplay is so immersive (with the exception of NWN.....alllllllllrighty then).

Hell yes. It's great that Assault's back, but Onslaught is simply wonderful. The Manta and Scorpion rule, and the new maps are generally quite good. Too bad there aren't any vehicle DM maps yet.

I also love the return of some of the classic UT elements (especially the CTF-Face, DM-Morpheus, and DM-HyperBlash remakes), but I wish they had added more customization options. Xan is still a badass, but they could have brought back the Dark Phalanx, Blood Reavers, and other teams in more than name.

(Also, they really should have produced more DVD sets. I don't care if I don't get a headset, but a 6-CD install is ridiculous.)

That said, the game rocks, especially on LANs. Given the dearth of good RPGs lately, this'll tide me over nicely until Blades of Avernum gets ported to Windows.

There's an exploit with the Behemoth siege tank you guys might want to know. Take the jetfighter (whatever it's called) and have it dock next to the Behemoth, and deploy the behemoth. The result? A flying behemoth. Just fly over the map and fire that ion cannon.

Yeah, I've heard about the Raptor-assisted Leviathan trick. Haven't seen anyone use it yet, though. Those things nuke power cores way too much as it is.

I used it the other day with some guy I met on Singapore's PAGN.net. We blasted the crap out of everyone and everyone left. It was funny.

Onslaught is the real deal.....I was always a CTF guy, but I've been hooked on Onslaught (must be the Tribes in me). I haven't seen the exploit for the Leviathan yet.

I'm surprised the servers aren't that crowded...the demo servers were jam packed...although the production Master Server has been having issues lately......
