War of Angels is a new mmo being released both by Gamigo and Neowiz. Explore a massive world with a lot of possiblies open to you such as starting your own guild, taking over guild cities and build it the way you want it, exploring massive dungeons, and take advantage of both the pvp and pve elements available in the game.

Gameplay:
The game has a lot of promise. At first I was a bit standoffish due to the limited character customization, but as I played more of it I did see a lot of potential in the game. It does feature some popular features from games like Perfect World and Aion. In which guilds can have land, and that battles aren't limited to just land. They seemed to bundle a lot of features that are popular in mmos like flying, mini games, instance dungeons, and put them in an experience that works.

One of the more interesting features of the game is the guild town system. Guilds can take over and possess their own town which offers them a host of options. The guildmaster can actually build new structures for the town. The town is also distributed into two sections making it easier for the town to be managed. The first is the business section which, as you may have guessed, is where a lot of the transactions will take place. The neat thing about this is when someone buys from a guild town's npc that guild makes a profit off it. The other section is the management section where the guildmaster can manage things with the city including adding more structures. Control of these towns can be won or lost by faction wars, which means you need to work to keep that nice city you and your guild built!

Another feature of War of Angels is the Deathblow system. As you fight you accumulate points which have three different levels. Depending on the one you choose you can do different degrees of damage in the form of a massive attack to your opponent, from the weaker hitting level 1 deathblow to the more powerful level 3 which can take out some of the normal monsters you run into fairly easy! Don't be stingy use it when you got it and build up that kill count.

A unique feature to the game is the constellation system which is part of the imprinting feature of the game. Players can use this to enchant their weapons and armor making their gear much better, to the point where you can't attain something like that through regular enchanting alone. But be warned, you cannot imprint equipment with the same constellation more than once, unless you use a special item to remove it. Also, if you fail in your imprint you will lose a slot, so be careful and wear your lucky charms when you imprint!

Graphics:
Graphically the game could be improved, especially in some character models, but I do love the landscape and the detail put into the games monsters. One thing you will notice when you pause and look at some of them is that most of them have an animation they do every once in awhile. For example Moul Hunters will thrust their spear into the ground, climb on it, and scout around. This adds just a bit more to make the game's world feel alive and is a nice touch in general to the more just roaming monsters you see in other games.

Cons:
There are some negatives I did find in the game however. For instance there is no way to auto travel to a location. In a lot of other games you can auto walk or travel to npcs or monster locations. There is also no indication of monster areas on the map when you select a quest to follow. The one thing they do have that does help is an indication arrow which guides you to the location of the enemies you need to find. Quest npcs are also easily found on the minimap labeled with ? and ! icons.

Overall this game has a lot of potential to succeed and it will be good to see what they do with it and how to improve it to make it. I give this game a 8/10.
