I hope they include some potential to do damage to buildings. Fences and light poles are not enough for a game like this. At least car deformation is in.

Looks like plain old mindless fun, a plus in an era of pretentious badly written stories

Yep, day one buy.

rpg players really should resist spewing that "why do you faggots keep buying the same game" thing because we've been killing the same orcs for a few decades now

Well, if they're adding air-strikes and firepower on that level, I think some level of destructibility would be nice. Either way, Day 1 purchase.

You're referring to a guy who really only likes a few RPGs from 1997-2004, not even a decade.

"The Third uses respect as experience points which the player can then spend to improve specific attributes of their character, such as melee combat or firearms skills.[3] A leveling system is introduced, and the player selects these attributes, or 'perks', each time the player character is leveled-up."

Saints Row should be in GRPG Discussion.

One of my biggest gripes with SR2 was how dull the radio stations were. They need better songs and/or lulzy talk shows like in the GTA series (except GTA IV, the radio was shit there too).

Isn't there a thread with the same video somewhere around? Not that it's a bad thing.

They had me at the X-men animated series airplane already (Blackbird, was it?), the rest was just a bonus.

Hopefully the port won't be as shitty as for SR2, I enjoyed the game, but it was a constant uphill battle against the lagging framerates, especially on vehicle missions.

Does SR2 run any better on PCs these days? I avoided it because of all the bitching about how shitty it ran, but I might try it out if it actually works okay now.

Well, the official patch apparently makes it slightly faster and the Gentlemen of the Row patchmod makes it playable. or so I've heard.

There's been tons of videos since July, and the marketing is really ramping up now, but I think this latest one from Gamespot is the best of them all: A Griefer's Guide to Saints Row: The Third. This is a really highbrow game for people who like to ponder the philosophical aspects of Metal Gear.

I am waiting for SRTT like the second coming of Christ, and the only thing that might make me pirate it is if there's some bullshit exclusive items only available to people who buy X product or from Y store. That's not cool.

Volition said in an interview that they're not worried about releasing in November because their game isn't just the same old shit. :smug:

Nope. They have their own name. CD Projekt is a publisher.

You don't call Bioware Electronic Arts. Yet.
they were cd projekt's in-house localization studio, not some third party company bought out and yes, you can call bioware electronic arts now.

Niggas did the second game have issues with procedurally generated pedestrians/vehicles(e.g shit disappearing or spawning on your face or when you do a 180 with the camera) on your PCs/consoles? I'm especially curious as to if this happens on consoles
