Why not? First MCA's not good enough for Lucas, now he's not good enough for Disney? We're better off for it, of course, but why the summary dismissal?

Thundercats cRPG. It's pretty obvious, guys.

Since when did Obsidian still make rpgs?
Well, first you have to see what goes for RPG these days.
And before that we must decide what is an RPG.
Is it that time of the month?
Definition of an RPG: dress up a character and kill shit to get new kill powers and dresses.
No, it is riding around on a horse killing things.
It's both! Walking around killing things to unlock power-ups and pretty dresses.

Or we could just admit that FSM is trying too hard and leave it at that.

Where's the fun in that?
Anyway, it's fairly obvious that a cRPG is a metaphor for Randian individualism. :obviously:

I think Feargus mentioned something about working on IP that was something he could never refuse (and I don't think he meant Fallout).

Of course! The answer has been right in front of us all along.

Godfather: the RPG.

Volourn only shows up when somebody says something negative about DA2. Suspicious.

Specifically, about DA2's sales. He's oddly defensive about that single aspect of the game.

BTW, here's Feargus's actual quote, which is from an interview in February:

FU: There actually is another game that I can't talk about at all.

GR: Are you sure?

FU: No, I'll get killed, but it's a licensed product but it's a licensed product that when people hear about it they're going to be "well you had to do that. there's no option, if I was a developer and I was offered that I would just do it."
Nike: the RPG.
Can't really think of an animated franchise that qualifies. Then again, I don't watch much TV and rarely see animated films.

Dead State Divinity: Original Sin
Calling it now, Batman: TAS RPG.

I'd probably fap to the press release if it's true.

That is the prestigous Metal Gear Solid theme, and it is a sin to use it to that crappy series.

"it would have the best of both worlds, bioware's innovative accessibility and polish and obsidian's writing and innovative turnover deadlines"

BIO doesn't even have innovative accessibility an dpolish nor is Obsidian's overtall writing special not is their turnover deadlines innovative.

MCA's writing is well above standard game writing. He is our Frank Herbert of game writing

Agreed, I think he and Tim Schafer are the best in the industry, and the only people whose games I'm interested in solely on the strength of their writing. But considering the dire standards of writing in games, that's not really saying much.

Sorry guys, this is it. I'm the last one on the project, and I'll be turning out the lights after this week.

It's been a good run, but everyone is moving on to new projects.
No new patches either. So if the GRA DLC causes any bugs, you're stuck with them.

Quoted for posterity. Why the change of heart, Volourn?

well my son how you get volourn to say the truth is to frame your post in such a way that saying it would be superficially felt as edgy and contrarian

Don't give a fuck about MCA. WE were talkin' 'bout Obsidian. Their writing has been shit for the past 3 games of theirs I've played - SOZ, AP, and DS3 9well, demo, but notuhin' I heard makes me think otherwise).

P.S. You people are dumb. Actually read what I write and you wouldn't be so ignorant.
