Grab the Codex by the pussy Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
I purchased Divinity 2: Director's Cut, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Deponia, King's Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY and Defender's Quest. But I was looking to buy myself a birthday present and they put the deal out on my birthday, so it was quite unintentional and awesome timing on their part. Now if I can only finish the games I already have in my queue...

What doesn't kill you will make you wish it had.
This is actually a pretty accurate description of the game.
Except for the "leaves a lot to be desired" kind of ending, I can't find any faults with Undying. Buy it without second thought.

Undying has a really strong start and then devolves into a horrible repetitive shooter with terrible enemies, I don't know I'd wait for a sale.
Though, it does have a fun assortment of toys to use.

Bought it, not completely bad but for a shooter with a supposedly good story/atmosphere, story sure does have a lot of non-sensical parts.
E.g. the ghost brother. You see him right from the start but no-one ever comments on it.
Or the killed servants. If I'd work in that house, I'd surely leave after the second or so of them got murdered cruelly.
Yet even when you save them from the monsters chasing them, they don't even comment on the fact that 5 seconds ago they were running from horrid abominations...

Otherwise, the house sure has a nice creepy atmosphere.

Syndicate Wars is on GOG now. What's the Codex consensus about it? I know that Syndicate is awesome, but somehow I always missed out on Syndicate Wars.

Hey, this weekend's is the Atari catalogue.

Darklands, MoO 1 - 3 and MoM are up. So are Desperados and SM's Colonization.

Pretty good selection in my book.

I have most of those games already, but how is Silver and Desperados? Would my young kids (about 7 years old) be able to understand and enjoy RollerCoaster Tycoon or Powerslide?

Eador: Masters of the Broken World is available for pre-order. Released on 19th April. If you know the first game, Eador, then you know that it is one of the best turn based fantasy strategy games of all time. Period! This seems the same just with prettier graphics and some new stuff added.

Syndicate Wars is on GOG now. What's the Codex consensus about it? I know that Syndicate is awesome, but somehow I always missed out on Syndicate Wars.

Some people hate SW because SW's campaign is scenario based instead of 1's "choose your next target on the world map" type of world domination. Some hate SW because it uses universal ammo ("energy") that replenishes itself. Some hate SW because right after the 5th or so missions the difficulty spiked to American Revolt level. Some of the missions were so insanely difficult that even now, as I'm trying to remember some examples out of it so I can show to you, is giving me painful headaches and may make me have nightmares when I go to sleep tonight.

For me, Syndicate Wars is more polished, chaotic, flavoured, and dark & gritty than Syndicate. You can literary level whole cities with rocket launchers, nuclear grenades (which still have the most scary annihilation effect I've seen in a video game, even stuff like BFG doesn't give me that), and destroyed hovercars that crash down into buildings. Every mission makes sense now instead of being just randomly "kill x" "escort y" "persuade z people" like in S1, in fact there are fucking PLOT TWISTS in a few missions.

The game put a lot efforts to flesh out the world design. Mission briefing, equipment description, all are nicely written. If you're playing as the Church of the New Epoch, don't forget to read the quotes in each briefing, it's all fun to read. Ah, the way the campaign handles both Eurocorp and Church is nicely done too, you can see a lot of cross references or parallels if you play both campaign once. BTW none of the missions from both sides are the same.

My only gripe was I never ever finished the final mission. It's almost either the insane difficulty, or the bugs that killed it. Otherwise the game is fantastic.

Ah, Strike Commander... god I loved that game. I remember following an AIM-120 shot on an AWACS at long range and watching it via the target camera view try to turn and bank with its heavy weight and saucer-shaped radar dome dooming its defensive maneuvers. Then the AIM-120 took out its engine and I watched it steadily fall to the ground. Since I was training to be a crew member for such C2ISR platforms it was both spine-tingling and glorious to watch.

For a forum dedicated mostly to classic PC games the GOG general discussion forum is surprisingly lacking in quality discussions.
