So all you need to do is be unable to find a time to play, and you can draw all your games? Seems you've found your trolling window.. :M

I'm leaving that open to interpretation.

You can leave a loophole like that if you're playing in a buddy buddy environment, but in a competitive league - I'd be stupid to risk a high TV team in a low TV environment when qualification is already guaranteed - by not showing up.

Update:

Passed speech check by linking my supreme adeptus tactica scribbles over steam chat.

To win with the sheathed sword is to achieve victory before the actual battle begins. After all, actual battle is taxing and produces casualties, and more to the point, involves the risk of defeat. Why risk defeat when it’s possible to win before the fighting starts?

So, onward to Match day 2.
Our next opponent is a fellow human team.
I don't really know how good this guy is, but we better be careful.

01.jpg

If I'm reading this right, this is the 2nd highest TV in the division right after us.
Quite an unusual situation.
This is also not quite a mirror match.

While we operate on a single thrower specialist - The Union works on a more balanced 'Two Thrower, Two Catcher' system.
General Specific has AG4 making him more reliable at overall ball duty. While General Motors has Block and Accurate. This makes the Union better at passing game than the Knights in terms of reliability. The knights in comparison throws all their eggs into a single Xenomorph's basket. If that basket cracks, that's the end of the passing play.

Also, if the rumors of Azira's retirement is true, then the Knights will also lose out on the Catcher duel since the Union has a Diving Catcher complete with Block and Sidestep. While their second Catcher has a Dump-off option when attacked with the ball in his hands.

The rest are pretty standard three rookie linos, four blitzers and guard ogre.

The Blitzers are obviously developed for specific roles, one with Guard, another with Tackle, and the third having Mighty Blow.
The fourth Blitzer is unskilled with the Tackle Blitzer having taken a Serious Concussion - permanently losing 1 AV in the process.
We might be able to profit off that in the game.

This is where the Knights has Union totally beat down. Despite the Union's Ogre having a Guard advantage, the Knights have more guard on the field, and can play more aggressively with the much more seasoned Blitzers and linemen of their own. It will take a few cracked AVs to make the numbers really count, but don't rule out the inducement that the Union will be getting!

Prediction:
Barring a disaster in the bash play, Knights to grind out a 2-1 result while the Union have to seek out points elsewhere.

01 - First Strike
00.jpg

Sup guise, it's nice to be on the pitch here after winning the first round without kicking the ball.

01.jpg

I have mixed feelings about this match.

02.jpg

I fear it might devolve into a bloodbath.

03.jpg

On one hand, more casualty is good for the SPP... on the other it just doesn't feel right hurting a fellow Codexer's team.

04.jpg

Won the coin toss, I'm gonna let Roxor kick, get a feel of his moves.

05.jpg

I was so out of the game for a bit that I only placed 2 new dudes on the LOS. Yeah Humppaleka is back as a rookie thrower.
Since the rule requires 3, the game pushed Brother None to the front so he gets punched.

06.jpg

I'm really, really sorry.

07.jpg

Gonna go with a short kick to force him into scoring quickly...

08.jpg

09.jpg

Wow, Angelo85 , just wow.
Touchback. Roxor entrusting the ball to his catcher.

10.jpg

Now he starts the LOS bash.

11.jpg

Hellraiser is stunned. While Humpalekka survives an ogre attack.

12.jpg

But not the follow strike by a blitzer.

13.jpg

He's stunned.
Meanwhile Brother None...

14.jpg

 Stellar performance, as usual.
Roxor moves up his mini cage forward. Good. I'm sure he can score on next turn.
We're 3 man down... let's see what can this genius do...

02 - Sheng Long

01.jpg

I gotta stop the cage. Break it and make the carrier run ahead.
That will leave enough time for me to score, while I apply more hurt on the cage corners.
But I don't wanna injure them too much...

02.jpg

Here comes Whitewolf...

03.jpg

Shit.

04.jpg

Smashed collar bone. Just a lino. But his career is over with -1 STR.

05.jpg

Nothing left to do but tie up the corners.
Then to take the two dice blocks...

06.jpg

Oh come on, eklektyk !
Reroll!

07.jpg

Just a push.
Gonna move LundB up to mark more players with Guard. That cage is non-functional.

08.jpg

Clock's ticking. Four seconds, time to let loose with ST6 Jasede's boyfriend....

09.jpg

10.jpg

Wow. I mean shit.

11.jpg

Sorry.

03 - Run, Pollen, Run.

Roxor's in trouble. He's two man down. Ogre is worth at least two.
So yeah, he's severely undermanned. Apothecary just failed.
Any more casualty is considered permanent.
He can't risk a bashing play and ran back to switch flanks.

01.jpg

Catcher runs back to handover. Blew a reroll as the infamous AG3 shows its ugly side.
Thrower runs left and ...

02.jpg

03.jpg

Makes a short pass.
Blitzer taking it to safety with 1 GFI.

04.jpg

Well, that's that.

05.jpg

1D Blocks are shit. Especially against LundB

06.jpg

Just... try not to kill anyone.

07.jpg

If I don't crowd-surf this lino with Whitewolf, I'd look dumb.

08.jpg

Thankfully the lino isn't injured.
It's only turn two... so Roxor's armor may not hold up that long...
When suddenly...

09.jpg

Ah well.
Gotta ask for a reset. If it's not possible... I guess we'll call it a draw.

Well match is reset, but Poland's internet is currently experiencing severe jamming by the Everpeaceloving nation of Russia.
Perhaps tomorrow...
