I had to manually disable nuke missions in the save game file too ( and thank Notepad++ for featuring mass string replacement) and edit the nuke research to only enable nuke missions if the date is before 1950.


I just wonder if losing either 50% of IC or territory and having less than 100 divisions are reasonable conditions for the AI to not go ITZ too soon, or if I should make it a bit farther in the "we're almost losing this war" point for ITZ to happen. Also, if any country took this decision any country with nukes at war can make it too, regardless of anything else.

Every time any country invests in research through the general Darkest Hour decisions for it, besides a slight bonus to research speed, a random blueprint also is gained. I am almost sure France gained a bonus blueprint for Artificial Satellites, which is why they have beaten Kwa and Germany to it.

While it may lead to unexpected outcomes like France doing it first, this is far more fun than the default railroaded space race events of NWO2 and it made complete sense to override those with events that consider who manages to R&D those space race techs from Cold War Tech Tree Extension mod first rather than historical determinism.

It was perhaps fitting how the first conflict of the Cold War was literally a cold war in the frozen Russian winter.

Karl Dönitz would not be shy or afraid. Eurocorp was originally founded with the clear purpose of helping their members to recover clay they lost because of wars with ideological enemies, and this was the best, perhaps only chance of Russia recovering their northern clay. Russian pilots piloted the iconic Horten multi-role fighters to delay the advance of French forces into Murmansk, defended only lightly.

While most of the Pan-Russian Orthodox militias and soldiers advanced towards Novgorod, a few attacked the loyalists with air support from the Horten fighter wing based in Arkhangelsk to keep them busy. It was a brutal war, brother against brother, hopefully something no other country of the world will have to face again, hopefully a lesson to those economist scienmajificians demanding austerity, but they never learn unfortunately, as long as they can secretly celebrate their massive wealth, laugh and joke over the misery of the common Sapiens and oppressed Neanderthal.

NATO bombers rained hell from the skies and the battle for Torzhok was lost, the Pan-Russian soldiers retreating. However, rather than cry out in despair, they remained STRONG even in the face of despair, regardless of what they have seen and been through, and sang, played piano, balalaika and accordion about and for the Motherland they hope to rise again from the ashes of atomic fire one day, and also about REMOVE MATZO FROM THE PREMISES.

Novgorod was right ahead! The European Bear shall be One again! Urra!

The little air support the Pan-Russians had was quickly brought to an end by the massive number of fighters the British have quickly deployed through the White Sea from light carriers, and NATO was closing in with numbers these brave patriots would stand no chance against. The German commanders covertly conducting this had to succeed soon, or all would be in vain.

In 7th of March of 1960, the Pan-Russian forces gained a considerable vantage point to begin their offensive against the capital of Novgorod. The front lines were deteriorating while the patriots were resolute towards their go. Even if the front disrupts, once Novgorod falls, if it falls, then it will no longer matter.

In the final hours of 8th of March, the battle that will define the future of Russia in the remainder of the 20th Century and perhaps beyond has begun.

In the immediate morning of 9th of March, refusing to comply with Martial Law, almost the entire population of the still desolate St. Petersburg marched on the streets, and having no choice as they stormed his office faster than the police reacted, of which many defected as well, the Mayor of Saint Petersburg publicly declared secession from the Republic of Novgorod and loyalty to the Empire. Forcing the continuation of a almost 100% hated government would certainly make many Russians hate Kwanzania and the Juden they blame for all even more, but even NATO could end losing to the unremitting determination of the Russian people to see their country whole and STRONG again.

RUSSIA STRONK! Crush the illegitimate Republic of Novgorod like a skull of pig!

In 10th of March, the city of Novgorod was completely secured by Pan-Russian patriots. The majority of the city, other than for a few libruls, hailed them as heroes as they waved the Imperial Russian flag over the streets. surrounded in his office, the president of Novgorod renounced at 20:00 hours, and the artificial State of Novgorod created by NATO was quickly falling apart. Although the Pan-Russians around Novgorod ended encircled a few days later, at such point it was too late.

Having the population of an entire country against their presence plus the blatant German support, NATO would have to choose between committing a war crime and killing dozens of thousands of civilians to forcefully impose the artificial government of Novgorod as a military dictatorship lapdog of Kwanstain, likely dragging them into the threat of a more direct war against Eurocorp, or to admit they were stupid in dragging their ally into economic meltdown because of the short-term greed of corporate suits who rule over their false democracies, and agree to an end of the conflict.

Not wanting to risk WW4, they realized they already lost this war in the hearts and minds of the Russian people and signed peace with the Pan-Russians, paving the way for the dream of Vladimir III and Vladimir S. Putin to finally get one large step closer to becoming reality.

THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE IS POWERFUL AGAIN AND READY TO CRUSH BOLSHEVISM IF NECESSARY OR POSSIBLE!

URRA!

And thus, Eurocorp won Round 1 of the Cold War and helped their Russian allies with a very important step at their dream of reunification, but it was far from over. From butthurt skyways dreaming of Urkanistan as an independent country, Belarus patriotic movements to the Turks in Constantinople, NATO would eventually find an opportunity to strike back in another future crisis. However, the victory of the Pan-Russians and monarchists was almost overshadowed in German news with another far more locally relevant news:

And so it begins what shall be a small step for a man's titanium bones, but a great leap for the Fatherland and 'thal-kind.

Are the myths of remaining Nazis in the dark side of the moon just myths? If not, would they consider the new Germany as allies or as an affront to Nazi orthodoxy? Will Germany truly travel through and under an Iron Sky?

Their economic slider is in the middle between "free market" and central planning, but the category shown in the game is based only on the right-left and democratic-authoritarian sliders, and in the very silly way HoI2/Darkest Hour handles those by default. IE: a far right country becomes a dictatorship even if the other slider is mostly towards democratic, while a center-right dictatorship becomes a democracy for not being rightist or leftist enough even when mostly authoritarian on the other slider, while a center-right democracy or parliamentary monarchy becomes always "market liberal" instead of social conservative and so on. .
