At Rakia's shop

After doing another delivery mission I finally run into the target. He warps all around the place and walks very quickly so he's pretty annoying.

Cass is pretty eager.

Chapter 4 - Auld Lang Syne Part 2

Darx isn't strong enough yet so I'm going to do a few more quests.

This guy single handily kept up employed at the start of the game.

This is another type of mission Darx can take. It doesn't have to be just professors, any other female enemy of the same class will count (so students will count as professors, thieves will count as rogues etc)

Most of Rakia's info dumps end up plot important. It's not just a case of is a dungeon a dungeon if there are no adventurers?

In the very first fight there are two students which count as professors.

Unfortunately after more than ~12 battles I haven't come across any more female students/professors. Fortunately this mission can be done over multiple entries so it's time to leave.

Because the enemies Darx needs to defeat are very particular these type of missions aren't that good for level grinding. I prefer spreading disinformation.

However they are good for collecting prisioners.

Earlier I used skill points to teach Darx this skill.

Darx can teleport to any point on the dungeon floor he has previously walked on. Places you have walked on in previous entries count.
It's a very useful skill but don't abuse it because you can miss out on some content by just teleporting in and out.

Let her wander around for a bit more.

Or maybe she just likes Darx

And Darx defeats the last three students within about two battles

It's probably time to go after Cass.

Chapter 4 - Auld Lang Syne Part 3

The traditional way of greeting your Demon Overlord

Just going to do this quest before taking on Cass. It's on the same floor as the Cass mission so I'll use it to scout things.

Cass will be in the bottom right corner. Darx has won far more than the ten required battles.

And Cass is starting to repeat herself.

Good timing. I've been meaning to phase out the fairies and the pigmen. But that can wait until after Cass.

This purple enemy is Cass.

Cass comes with her friends who are basically re-skins of generic enemies.
The girl with the shield, next to Cass is Lucy.
The thief in the middle is Hiia
And the girl at the back is Emma.

I've been investing command points in Darx's edged weapons skills and I have unlocked Sword Dance. Darx can use this three times (for now) and it does damage to the entire front row.

And the first boss is defeated.

Been playing Evenicle and Kami no Rhapsody so haven't had time to update it.

Evenicle was actually pretty good but Rhapsody has had the most gimmicky gameplay

After the scenes with Cass it's time to go back to Darx' room to rest

Darx truly is an amazing gentleman

I haven't seen such a quick turn around from getting raped to being in love since Lia in Rance

As you can see the party is pretty badly damaged so it's time to rest

And now it's time to go to Rakia to get a job

This seems to be linked to purchasing habits and not rank or plot progress.

Darx does an ordinary delivery job and get 50 renown from completing it

After going to Rakia's there is a short scene with the Overlord's former fight hand man
