Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
The first ended with the player a hero, yet its sequel began with them as an outcast for reasons that were never explained.
It was explained in one sentence. Irenicus's forces ambushed them and captured the party. End of story.

If I am recalling correctly, it was mae'var who captured the party?

Thieves' guild second in command, you meet him at the docks. I don't really recall him being the guy though.

Why would Mae'var kidnap the party/PC for Irenicus? Last i checked, the Thieve's Guild opposed Irenicus and his sister. LMAO

He was a shadow thief guildmaster working under Renald Bloodscalp.
I don´t think that he was the one who captures you for Irenicus, but I am not sure!
Edit: The Thieves guild does capture you for Irenicus.

The Thieves guild does capture you for Irenicus, and a mod (maybe BGT) has a cutscene that connects the two games were Mae'var is the one in charge of the operation. I don't know if it's official or not.

It's not. That cutscene was created by the BGT mod author.

Bioware had their own notes on how this encounter played out. We're using that.

Good thing Gaider wasn't still much involved in BG at the times of those notes, or poor CHARNAME when kidnapped would have had a surprise in more than one sense.

Hey Avenger, when can we expect some of the cool and useful druid spells from IWDEE to come to BG1EE and BG2EE?
I recently played BG1EE with a druid main and lvl 1 and lvl 2 spells are crap, especially lvl 2.

I'm hoping the 1.4 updates will port all the IWD features to the BG games, including the spells, 3E sneak attack option, and HOF mode (this one already confirmed), and perhaps other things as well such as IWD specific special abilities.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Gaider was a fairly important writer/designer for BG2, although not officially "senior" yet until the expansion. It's the first game he wasn't around for.

I were always surprised by Shadow Thieves abducting me at beginning of BG2, as I recall we parted on good terms in Baldur's Gate thieves guild quest. No fucking honour among tea leaves I suppose.
