Since the harddrive is slowly dying, it's gonna get switched tomorrow. Backups have been made, horrible panic is not necessary. We'll be back.

Is this actually an invitation to spam freely and happily?
No. "might". MySQL data files will be copied just before the switch, but in case that fails, I'll have to restore our stuff from the dump I just made. Hence the "might" in "might be lost". Spam at your own peril, as always.

NO, I don't that it is :)

Thank you for letting us know this in advance. I need to make a job application tomorrow anyway, so I don't have much time to be on the net anyway ...

First we go from .com to .net, and now this.

How do you know an HD is dying? Don't they just die at the blink of an eye and then cause immense amount of tears?

It could be the horrible scratching sound he hears when the hard drive spins up.

No HD can resist the barrage of shock porn, "In Before Retardo"s, Picards and sarcasm. All are fated to be eventually casted into oblivion.

I will backup any relevant posts in a .doc

And you're back again :) Glad to have back in one piece, though.

Just being curious here: Do you guys, rpgcodex.net, share servers with duckandcover.cx :?: since when I went there minutes ago (or even two hours ago) the site was down e.g. not showing the usual front page but some generic admin+server stuff...

Yes, I'm still getting to the other sites. We're one big, happy family. No worries, everything's coming back, it'll just take a while longer.

I understand from a post on rpgwatch that the big happy family also includes terra-arcanum, sorcerers.net and possibly some other sites, too.
(maybe scourforgen.net ?? too :?: )

The good news at my end of the line or internetspace is that rpgcodex loads faster and the site is looking crispier than ever. Keep up the good work, Taluntain :) I'm appreciating it, as we all are, I'm sure :)
