GOG is quite..."monocled" regarding what games it publishes. Long story short, aside from the old classics, new games have to be of the "hip indie game with 1,000,000+ sales and journalists and youtubers all raving and fapping about it" category. It wouldn't surprise me if they declined to add Grimoire on the grounds of not being popular enough. Even if they genuinely acknowledged that the game is a spiritual successor to Wizardry or has some other merits, unless there is hype and money involved, they won't bother greenlighting it. Unless there have already been talks suggesting they are open.

(Posts another "never will happen" pertaining to Grimoire post-it sticker on wall. Now completely covered from floor to ceiling with yellow stickers. Keep batting 100.)

MY deltoids will form a canopy that shields my skull from rain and my lats will appear to touch the walls on both sides of the room when I am talking to Matt.

Dude. You're a fat fuck with a face that looks one more bad chromosome away from Downs Syndrome.

Are there any plans to add new tilesets to the game ? The entire first half of the game recycles the same ones and gets boring. Especially the dungeons or towns all look the same :( It's especially noticeable in contrast of the large variety of monsters which is really good IMO.

Cleve, do you still plan a gog release? Are you waiting for manual completion to release it as "Grimoire: Complete"? I'm rollin' a party and playing first 30mins of Wiz7 every weekend over and over since august, afraid to start a playthrough of any other game.

Yes, I am hoping for a manual release this week, V2 before Christmas and then that version to GOG at earliest convenience.
Thanks for allowing the DRM-free Incline, Cleve.

No. There will be new regions with unusual layouts of existing tilesets.

If it weren't for idiots like Zep Zepo I would continue with the policy. It's one thing to pirate the game, Zepo is just destructive and obsessed with it to the brink of madness. If it's not protected from Zep he will eventually tear open the RSF and start modding the assets and all other kinds of crazy stuff. Unfortunately the manual version will be Steam integrated for DRM.

Some bug fixes coming:

GOLDEN ERA GAMES [developer] 1 hour ago
Fixing the bug with some spellcasters set to level 2 to receive their spell skill. This next patch will be out in 24 hours.

GOLDEN ERA GAMES [developer] 15 hours ago
I just changed that spell so when a Grue grabs you, it immediately reduces your strength by 50% for at least 10 rounds. This spell is an attribute modifier, not a change to the actual attribute as it is doing now. That might be too drastic, especially cumulative grabs.

Further grabs by Grues will never reduce your strength by more than 50% during the combat.

This can take a while to wear off but it is temporary.

Going to test this and include it in the next patch.

GOLDEN ERA GAMES [developer] 20 Sep @ 5:14am
I will have a look at Stone Fists. I think I remember testing them quite a bit originally but there might have been some more edits recently.

*EDIT : Yep, the range was set to zero on these. Thanks for catching this, they are actually really good in combat doing 6D8 every hit. I just fixed it. I think when I was editing all really unusual weapons they might have had their range set to zero, this was not reset. Hopefully out of 1000+ items there are very few or none of these types of bugs left..

Will further reduce Little Rosy stats on startup. She is supposed to be a good addition but she is overpowered. I originally wanted her to be OP so beginners realize no matter how hard the start is, if they can get her to join they will be able to survive. Purists have repeatedly said she is too high powered so fixing that too next patch.

I thought Grimoire players were supposed to be prestigious and about delayed gratification, guess not. +M

Cleve will continue to fuck his game over by listening to the few, and not taking into account the many.

That very special cache of Count Orloch's anti-Shelach weapons... shouldn't it feature something more than generic mid-tier random chests?
