Divinity: Original Sin 2
There is even a dialogue where Eric mentions "an old man in a wheelchair" being a handicap to their team and you don't even notice it because at this point in the game you just think he gives an abstract example. Or when he's talking to the dog and calls him and old man, it's easy to think he's just being silly, while in reality he's talking to Delta.

You can even notice this when they're supposed to vote which team they want to execute and they say something like "I know the leader is supposed to vote, but...", because Delta is supposed to be deaf and blind.

On a related note, my favorite hint that I just stumbled upon is hidden in plain sight in the game's title:
The anagram of Zero Time Dilemma is
Me? I'm Delta, I'm Zero.

Is anybody else annoyed by the epilogue files?
They read like bad fan fiction and the super happy ending vibe feels out of place ,not to mention there is no mention of d team whatsoever in the epilogue files.

Loose ends from VLR: Where is ?, the Blick Winkel of the Infinity Series hinted at in the VLR special ending? What about Clover/Alice's schrodinger's cat solution? I half expected them to show up in the pod room, but no dice.

Who is Carlos anyway other than the new Sigma?

Even the puzzle-sequence interactivity has been cut down in comparison to 999/VLR.
VLR is one of the paths history can take. Kyle and stuff from VLR doesn't happen until one of the endings in ZTD

Carlos was in ZTD as a bait for question who is Brother and both Luna like character from VLR.

My expectation for carlos was that he was brother and all that good dude attitude was just fake similary how i expected this from Luna in VLR.

I completely disagree on Puzzles. Sure there are few that repeat but overall ZTD has the most complicaed and the hardest puzzles out of trilogy

The puzzles were easily the best out of all three games. I can't recall the last time I had to take notes to solve puzzles in a videogame and I had to do it here. They managed to strike a balance between trivially easy and frustratingly complicated.

Same shit here. I don't remember any adventure game where i had to actually take notepad and write shitdown doing calculations on paper. That is despite fact that 3DS version has 2 pages notepad which i found lacking.
Generator room was my favorite. It was string of like 6 puzzles

That laser one in that room gave me headache until i realized that i first need to find all possible combinations for each laser and then choose which don't conflict eachother. Then i noticed there is only one combination for each that works and rest was easy.
Fax room was the hardest imo. Figuring out what those cards mean was fun as hell.

Bros, does the quest system have a two-stage safe/password system like in VLR?
Nope, each room has its own win condition.

VLR second objectives were hardly interesting though. They contained mostly some trivia from in game lore. Also usually when you get to 1st stage you usually had already second password.

ZTD puzzles on other hand are better and more complex than VLR which was improvement over 999 puzzles.

Finished watching it over YT. Well... I thought it was... tepid, I guess.
One really good twist, that managed to catch me really off guard, and which, I think, wasn't featured before in anything Infinity-related (which makes it one more than in case of VLR (I'm not sure, whether you can count "Luna's emotions" as a twist - and at a very least, it's not even close to being the central one), and, I guess, 1/2 more, than in 999, since the latter one was still, however non-trivial, a permutation of one of E17 gimmicks), a pretty satisfying click with which "time and place" question finally got resolved (the walls part both managed to catch me somewhat off-guard and was properly foreshadowed, the time part was trivial permutation of E17 and R11 gimmicks), and a whole lot of permutations and continuations of various previous Infinity/ZE gimmicks (so we had SHIFT, so now we introduce transporting bodies, whatever; so we followed down and 100%ed the branching tree before, so now the branching tree is still there, but we're jumping randomly between its parts, whatever; the main one of those being, of course, "Tsugumi's babies" clone, which is this game's counterpart of VLR's "Mirror Twist" clone, although better implemented). Very slow pace all throughout, retarded Escape Room puzzles, which I'm so glad I didn't need to get through the hassle of solving myself and which are only there to waste 13 hours of one's time (I say that actually as a person, who, up to a very recent time, stated Riven, as one's favorite game ever, and has completed all 4 parts of RHEM). The stuff with intradimensional puzzles was conceptually interesting (although formally introduced by VLR), but they were only a handful, and all of them were of "you are told the password in one place of the story tree, and you input in another" (birthday date being, perhaps, the most interesting of the permutations of the concept). Some obligatory ridiculous GhostTrick-esque "and he/they jumped and waited for ENTIRE GAZILLION FUCKING MONTHS - that's how hardcore our story is" closer to the ending parts, which made me glad, that Root Double's final "reveal"
(the one that concerned Watase's convictions directly before the Grand End, and which wasn't a conventional Infinity-esque twist, actually, at all)
didn't go for stretching of established "rules of the game" to the point of utter ridiculousness (although the whole
Kazami
setup is where it probably came the closest to it).

Well, what else. Nothing special presentation-wise: characters, cutscene direction (Uchikoshi really should've taken notes when working with that "Punch Line" anime's director), writing, pacing, nothing to write home about, for the most part. The ethical issues with all the swapping and stuff, were, like, the stuff that would probably click with somebody somewhere, and that somebody somehow not being me. The Sigma's half of "VLR ending" was pretty artistic, as far as this game goes (I believe, it was spoiled beforehand via trailers and whatnot, but I didn't watch those, so it was all good), and really reminded me of VLR's "Dio's Ending" which was also pretty artistic as far as VLR went (although they really pulled its (Sigma's half of "VLR/Apocalypse end") whole setup, like, literally in the last five minuted leading up to it). I would actually love to see Uchikoshi's game where the same flavor of weirdness and dreamlike feel, the same sparse distinctly Uchikoshi-an "un-human" aesthetics of the "isolation chamber" would be un-compromisingly pushed to the max at the expense (most of all - at the expense of the characters just not shutting the fuck up being too busy cosplaying E17) of everything else, but, well, I just don't see that happening with the current vector Uchikoshi seems to be consistently following.
Anyway, bottom line. Uchikoshi did manage to surprise me. Once. One and a half times at most. He really did ffing manage to ffing surprise me. I'd give him that. I didn't expect that. Was that worth 20 hours of my life? I am not sure, actually. I am very much not sure. But I am not complaining. The issue concerns entirely different matter altogether. Creating a game with its own "Coco's Route" is, well, being surprised once in 20 hours just isn't going to cut it. "Coco's Route" worked, because it did a lot a unexpected, new stuff in quick succession. The keyword being "new". Which the stuff from "Coco's Route" ceased to be immediately after it, well, appeared in "Coco's Route". Making a new game with its own "Coco's Route" isn't plastering the stuff from "Coco's Route" all around and permuting it up to infinity. Because, well, we happen to live in the universe, in which E17 has already happened, tee-hee. Making a new game with its own "Coco's Route" would, first and foremost, as its very first step, involve dumping everything, that comprised the actual old "Coco's Route", to the nearest dumpster and not touching it ever again with a ten-foot pole. Making a copy of "Coco's Route", however meticulously planned, perturbed and shifted around, is, quite paradoxically, anything BUT making a new "Coco's Route".

So, well, here is to the times, when Uchikoshi will just leave E17 and R11 fucking alone.

Hell. I'd even rather take "Izumi Cure" clone instead.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
ZTD puzzles on other hand are better and more complex than VLR which was improvement over 999 puzzles.
i dunno, i think puzzles in ZTD was easy. i don't know if it's actually easier, or because i have alot more puzzles experience than 5 years ago, that whatever they throw at me, nothing;s really surprising

There won't be new Zero Escape. They already had severe issues after VLR didn't reach target sales and ZTD was basically run at shoestring budget which shows compared to VLR.

At least finished the game.

The most annoying moment was
"Oh, that old deaf/bling old guy? Yeah he was here with from the beginning!" this was presented on ~21 hour of my 23 hours playthrough. Isn't this kind of thing called a Deus ex Machina?

And about Eric as oasis789 mentioned he's a weak character:
The dude became an unstable psychopath after throwing his small brother's dead body into water.
"Daddy... Daddy... He's the bad one... H-he said to do it... That's why I put it... In the lake... I put Chris's body... in the lake... Oh no... I must... keep smiling... Keep smiling... Keep smiling..."

And about Mira
She's a serial killer and nobody gives a shit in the end. ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯

Overall I liked the game till the final part started unwrapping. The ending was not so shocking and well-made as in VLR.

I've gotten further and I'm enjoying it more. Some of the endings are well-done.

The most annoying moment was
i've grown to appreciate that plot twist because how numerous are the foreshadowing there actually is

I liked the plot twist in principle but the execution is off. Uchikoshi can effectively foreshadow but in this case, I think it's a limitation of the game design compared to the previous games.

999: The plot twist involving the DS screens being two different character's perspectives with the one with narration being Akane's and the dialogue one being Junpei's. It's right there on display as having a third person narration is very unusual for a visual novel, but you don't think about it until the twist happens.

VLC: Sigma being old. The game is in first person view, the hints are all right there when the characters refer to Sigma, and the game covers most of the potential plot holes (Like, why doesn't he notice his hands are old and wrinkled? Well, they're not his original arms...)

With the Delta reveal, the game is a third person movie and although, yes, you can see in certain scenes that there is indeed someone's shadow there and the characters do refer to someone else (As I said, Uchikoshi can effectively foreshadow without giving things away.), it feels less natural and more like the camera is teasing you. The previous narratives had a limited view of things, which helped the reveals as they were based in the character's POVs, while this has a view with less limitations but still has a hidden character who is just out of camera-shot. Think of it as being the difference between a first-person narrator in a novel missing a detail versus a third-person omniscient narrator missing a detail, one feels like a character is missing something as part of a character, the other feels like the writer is just fucking with you or worse, wrote the story poorly.

Still, I'm liking the game more as I go along.

Just beat it.

As much as I was mixed on the plot twist, I liked the ending and I like Delta as a villain quite a bit. My favorite part was when everyone did the anime, "We'll forge our own future with the power of friendship!" thing, and Delta just laughed and said, "Great. You're acting just how I planned. Thanks for justifying me torturing you."

Oh and...

D-Team > C-Team >>>>>> Q-Team (Simply because Mira and Eric exist just to wreck timelines with their inability to stop fucking murdering people.)

And finally:

so I just had a great time with the first entry of this series. fantastic character development within the first very ten minutes that puts nu-Torment to shame. puzzles are very clever, though some made me feel retarded (the last morse code one wtf). very impressed. I'm left with some question, though I'm sure the sequels will address them:
did Ace really not recognize Santa? wtf
do other games fuck with this telepepathy time travel shit?
wtf is up with Alice? she returns in the next 2 titles?

started VTL. horrible character in Zero AI. Not digging the art style. does this shit get better, I'm 2 hours in and it feels like a retread on 999

It gets better, though it is not as good as 999.

Zero AI doesn't show up past the first sections except in one game over sequence.

Played through the series now.

Very much enjoyed 999. Less so VLR, but still enjoyed parts of it. ZTD was meh/ok.
Thought 999 works well as a self contained story while the overall plot of VLR and ZTD sucked.

Also the
6 billion vs 8 billion
bit was imo insulting considering all the mind and time fuckery already introduced in the series. Really? That's the best you could do.

Just started Zero Time Dilemma and fucking loving it so far (around 6 hours in). It just really hits the spot when it comes to getting the horror-humour-puzzle blend right.

I've not played the previous 2 games but I will now after I finish this one.
